Halloween Fun with Marla Kress and Taylored Expressions!

Halloween Fun with Marla Kress and Taylored Expressions!

Hello SCT readers!  I can hardly believe that we are wrapping up summer and school is already in session.  Before we know it Halloween will be here so why not get prepared a little early!  I recently had the opportunity to play with some product from Taylored Expressions, this monster die screamed Halloween to me.

The first thing I created is this card.

Let’s face it, the possibilities are endless.  It’s also kind of addicting so if you’re not careful you can create a whole little army of these guys (think garland or invitations).   And because I couldn’t stop there, I also created this little treat box.

Sure I had to cut up one of the monster bodies but it all worked out!  And the box is SUPER easy to make.

  1. Cut a 6”X6” sheet of paper
  2. Score each side 1.5” from the edge
  3. Cut each square in the corners down the center
  4. Fold the side and glue the flaps down.  (Tip:  I added brads to the flaps for a little decorative reinforcement)

Hopefully you’ve been inspired to create something fun for Halloween.  Even if you don’t have this die, I hope you’ll use the simple box instructions to create something of your own (and please share if you do.)

Look out for the fall issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today releasing September 19th for a lot more inspiration and maybe another Halloween treat or two!

Oh my goodness what a sweet, and ugly at the same time, monster! I also really like Taylored Expressions, thanks to a S&CT former Blog Post Intro. Their Stamps, and Die Cuts, are of great quality and all Made in the USA. Yahoo! I signed up for their Daily Blog Posts and enjoy reading them, too. Thank you Marla for the Treat Box Template and I will be using it for an October Super Crop. The decorating possibilities are endless and I Love how they stand up on their own. What a Treat you are!
