Happy 9th birthday celebration – Day SEVEN!

It's Friday and it's Day SEVEN of our 9th birthday celebration!  Today we have design team member Emily Pitts joining us to share a sweet birthday banner and our wonderful partners have provided an amazing "loot bag" too!  You won't want to miss it!  Let's go…

"I made a cake to say Happy Birthday from me to SCT! 

What a huge accomplishment, making it to age 9 in this day and age! But I know the lady behind all of it and it doesn't surprise me one bit, Catherine deserves a huge celebration, she's worked incredibly hard for every since candle on that cake! 

The great free cut files created by design team member Nicole Nowosad were so much fun to create this banner with. I double cut every element of the cake (except some of the stars and the title) and used dimensional adhesive to make the cake pop. It turned out even better than I'd imagined, these cut files worked really well for my design.  

TIP: When doubling up images like this, be sure you adhere the foam with side A facing side B, or in other words, both side A's facing UP. Otherwise you'll end up being able to see some funky patterns that you might not want a part of your design. My bottom layer of cake taught me that. The shape is almost a mirror image of itself, but not quite. I had to do some trimming to hide the other patterned paper. Don't make the same mistake I did. :)

4. The perfect placement of our ad on page 14 of the Spring issue. Right there at the top of the page. :)

5. The fact that you included our new Daisy Day Planner kits in your feature on page 45. Nicole did a great job featuring our products.

6. Having a really great design team, we think we share good taste! We loved Emily's layout using our papers on page 31.

7. All the inspiration, every three months. We love that we can share that with our customers when they place an extra order with us.

8. An amazing team of editor, graphic designers, and writers. Megan, Cathy, Brandy, Jen, Jennifer, Elisha, Ali, and Vicki did a great job this issue!

9. The fact that you're committed to getting an even longer list from us next year. You're in this for the long haul and we love that you support the small business!
