Happy National Scrapbook Day! It’s Virginia here joining in for some crafty fun, I think it is pretty amazing to have a day designated to celebrate this wonderful hobby of ours!
I like to make the most of my scrapbook supplies, yes I’m one of those scrapbookers that looks at a 2×2 scrap piece of paper and thinks deliberately ‘keep’ or ‘recycle’, some of you are nodding in agreement right, ha!
I was on a roll using Echo Park’s summer collection pack and was able to complete 12 pages from just using the collection pack. I wanted to squeeze the 13th page from the scraps left over, a few strips of pattern paper and a few journaling cards.
Instead of using the 3×4 journaling cards as just cards, I had a little fun with them. In one spot, I cut the card in half (horizontally) and placed each half above and below the photo, this stretches the sentiment and makes the photo a focal point.
For the row of banners, I cut the journal card in vertical strips to create various banner lengths. You can still see the images of the journal cards peeking through. I used the negative of a sticker border to create a faux ‘stitch’ line across the pennants. Manufacturers usually include a long sticker border placed at the edge of the 12×12 sticker sheet, look for a thin strip that is left over on the sticker sheet.

Oh wow, I thought it was just me not wanting to throw and piece of paper out. LOL. Now with this pack from Echo Park Paper I am sure not one piece will be wasted. I also love the Ephemera Pack.
