Machine or hand-sewing is one of the quickest ways to
add texture and depth to a page.
Tone-on-tone layering creates the illusion of embossing,
especially when done in large areas of a project.
Tucking paper embellishments under and over your
photos will add motion and unify all of your elements.
Whether you call them pop dots, 3D dots or foam squares, they
are a papercrafter’s best friend. Light as a feather and easy to use,
dimensional adhesive can hold up to ten times its own weight and
instantly adds dimension to anything you attach with it.
“Decorative pins can be tricky to add to projects and still keep
little fingers safe,” Davinie shared. “After I’ve used a foam dot to
attach an embellishment to my page, I stick a pin into the center
of the foam. It hides the sharp tip and adds more depth to the
embellishment.”
