the 3 i’s
The word “special” can be defined as something that is just a little bit unique
and made with a specific purpose in mind. This issue’s project is no exception
and will undoubtedly be treasured for years to come.
Melissa is the queen of all
things vintage and romantic, and
we love how she added a “bit of
this and a scrap of that” to her
piece, giving it so much charm.

I love birdhouses and swooned when I first saw
Maya Road’s “Home Tweet Home” chipboard
album. I decided to embellish one sheet of the
album, creating a birdhouse, home decor piece
for the holidays.
I quickly amassed quite a pile of Maya Road
ephemera as I began planning the project and
going through my supplies! To stay true to my
love of all things vintage, I included several
kinds of lace, an antique ornament and lots of
chunky glitter. This little, red bird now has a
home in my home during the holidays!
