summer 2013
When Summer decided to create a layout
about how long she had been married, rather
than recording the years, she calculated how
many days she had been married, making for a
very clever and eye-catching layout
!
She embossed four colours of solid cardstock
with a number pattern and placed them behind
the negative space of four die cut numbers
that make up the total days. Check out more
of Summer’s ideas for this versatile counting
technique below.
the 3 t’s
Summer’s negative numbers
technique, backed with embossed
paper, can also be done with
letters for an eye-catching look.
