Sequins, spangles, paillettes or diamantes—whatever you call them,
these small, shiny disks are quick to catch our attention. As a child I
remember wearing dance costumes adorned with a myriad of coloured
sequins, and now, as an adult, I have discovered a new use for these
sparkling, little embellishments. Sequins come in a variety of shapes and
sizes, making them the perfect adornment for paper projects.
Shimmering sequins trim garments, adorn purses,
twinkle on costumes and even dazzle cell phone
covers, and now, they are popping up on layouts,
cards and papercrafting projects everywhere
!
By alternating layers of
sequined flowers with
paper, Vicki was able
to tone down the sparkle
and add definition.
Butterfly-shaped sequins
bursting from a paper bag are
such a sweet embellishment!
