We are so excited to welcome our friends at Hero Arts and designer Jessica Frost Ballas to the SCT blog today! We think you’ll love the new HeroScapes line that Jessica is creating with today—designed to create detailed, beautiful cards, and the Beach HeroScape stamp will make you want to head straight to the seaside this summer! Let’s take a look!

Hello! I’m Jessica Frost-Ballas from All the Sparkle sharing some inspiration today using some of my favorite products from Hero Arts! The HeroScapes line from Hero Arts features gorgeous, detailed scenes that can be easily created just by layering some inks together!  And I love that you can mix and match various lines of inks from Hero Arts (reactive, shadow dye, hybrid bold, etc.) to get the exact colors you’re looking for! I used the Beach HeroScape stamp to create this detailed, summery card:

To start, I blended inks onto Strathmore Bristol cardstock to create the background for my card: Cotton Candy, Fruit Punch, and Creamsicle ink for the sky and Soft Vanilla and Cup O’ Joe ink for the sand. Next, I stamped the lighthouse and seagull from Seas the Day Seagulls with copic-friendly Intense-ified Black ink, colored them with copic markers, and then die-cut them with the coordinating Frame Cuts.

I stamped the mountains from Color Layering Mountains at the Lake with Soft Granite and Charcoal ink and die-cut them with the coordinating Frame Cuts. I also die-cut the stand alone rocks from the same set from Hero Hues Pebble Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Beach HeroScape set onto the sky with Versafine and heat-embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder. Then I adhered my mountains and rocks over the sky.

I stamped the bottom layer of the waves from Beach HeroScape with Aquatic ink. I used my MISTI to stamp the top layer with Deep Ocean and Navy ink. Isn’t the detail in those waves fabulous?!  I used the coordinating Frame Cuts to die-cut the waves and adhered them over the sand. I also stamped rocks from Beach HeroScape with Soft Granite and Charcoal ink and added them to the scene with the lighthouse and seagull.  I just love the versatility of the Beach HeroScape set!  Our creative team has created tropical beaches, Mediterranean scenes, coastal settings, and everything in between just by adding a few other sets and changing up the ink colors! I’d love to see what you create with it! Head over and shop at Hero Arts or check out the Hero Arts blog for daily inspiration!
