Today, we have a fabulous card tutorial from Kim Moreno of Eastland, TX. We asked Kim to share the steps involved in the creation of this adorable card using sweet products from Jillibean Soup.

Here is Kim with her tutorial:

1. Use Jillibean Soup A2 card as a base for your card.

2. To make the flower I layered several journaling sprouts, chipboard, and bling.

Step 1. Adhere large pink journaling sprout to top of card as shown.
Step 2. To cover chipboard quickly I like to use ink. Ink chipboard red

Step 3. Use pop dot behind the orange journaling sprout to give it a bit of lift off the chipboard flower.

Step 4. Add letter stickers, tracing around the edges of them with pen to help them stand out a bit more. Add bling circle.

Step 5.  Cut ½” strip of the green plaid patterned paper and slip under the bottom of the flower and adhere to card.

Step 6. Slightly adhere the felt to the bottom of flower. Be sure when stitching not to hit the adhesive, it will gum up your needle and make it hard to stitch. I start by using my paper piercer and making the holes first, even through the felt. You won’t be able to see holes on the front of the felt but will be able to use the holes on the backside as your guide for stitching.

Step 7. For the stitching around the flower up top I first used my paper piercer to make holes where I wanted to stitch and then used the yellow floss to give the flower just that much more “pop!”

Step 8. Tie ribbon in a bow and adhere just under the bottom of layered flower. Ink around the edges of the whole card lightly with the green chalk ink to finish the card.
