When did you start papercrafting and how did it come about?

I have always had a love affair with paper and pens, looking back at my childhood and saving my allowance so I could spend it at the Sanrio or Kings Office Supplies. Writing a note or letter onto pretty stationary brought so much joy. After my daughter was born in 1996,1 attended a home party and was introduced to Creative Memories, learning how to become a memory keeper was life changing. My house had burned down as a child, so I became obsessive about taking photos as an adult. Pairing photos with my love of paper, just seemed like the perfect hobby for me. A few years later in 1999, my husband was about to go on his first deployment and a friend introduced me to stamping. We did not have the money to buy Hallmark cards (which were so expensive). Making a card by hand, and putting all of my love into it for my husband, fed my soul and creative spirit. I have not stopped making cards since. I joined my first Design Team in 2005 and starting getting published in 2006, and the rest you can say is history.

What is your favourite colour combination to craft with? To decorate with?

My absolute favorite color combination is red and aqua with a touch of yellow. Not only do I love this combination on cards, but in my personal wardrobe as well.

What is your go-to, must have tool?

Thinking about a tool that I use on almost all projects, it would have to be foam adhesive. It elevates any project.

At which store would you like to max out your credit card?

That is a hard question. I would say Nordstrom. I could get clothes, skincare, bags, shoes, furniture…just about anything. But the techie in me would want Best Buy or something like that where I could buy Apple and Canon products. Who doesn’t love a new computer or camera lens?

If you had an extra half hour in the day, what would you do?

Reading is a hobby I will never tire of, so without question if I had thirty extra minutes a day, I would read. I love all genres as long as its a good book, I will read it.
