Letterpress card ideas with Virginia Fynes!

Letterpress card ideas with Virginia Fynes!

On my recent trip to We R Memory Keepers I got my hands on the Lifestyle Crafts Letterpress. I had never tried letterpress before so I was super excited to put it to work.

As I’m sure you know, letterpress is quite stunning just on its own, the design imprinted on the thick crisp white paper is really enough to make you drool.

I decide to make myself go outside they typical basic letterpress cards and step it up a notch!

I also got to bring home a bit of the Inked Rose Collection, but silly me only got the Instagram mini kit, Its my new favorite collection so I challenged myself to put it to use to make cards… but now I need more!

If you haven’t tried letterpress, don’t be shy its so easy. If you can emboss you can letterpress- the technique is very similar.

The basic kit also comes with these beautiful words as well as a floral background, so you can imprint your own pattern paper also.

I haven’t got my techniques totally down pat, but I’ve been having fun playing. I love the ombre effect you can create with 2-step inking.

The May Arts Ribbon crochet trims and string burlap (which comes in over 20 colors) coordinate so well with the Inked Rose collection.

The 4” Instagram frames work so well to frame your letterpress details, and gives you another use for your extra pocket page cards.

What do you think, does this make you want to try letterpress? I loved playing with my new toy, I hope you enjoyed these cards; I had a lot of fun making them!
