We love seeing Conny’s colourful and happy projects pop up on our feed, and we think that you’ll love what she is sharing with us today using products from our friends at Bella Blvd! Let’s check it out!

Hello, crafty friends! It’s Conny here from @thedailylifeofcreativity! I love creating mini albums, layouts and so much more, and I am happy to be here today sharing a 12 x 12-inch layout with you using the Our Love Song collection by Bella Blvd!

Since we are celebrating Valentine’s week here on SCT, let’s get started with this love-filled project! For this layout, I used a die cut title and multiple photos—two things that I LOVE adding to my projects! Don’t have a die cutting machine? No problem! Bella Blvd makes these die cut Cut Outs for you!

I started by backing the Cut Out using solid and patterned paper from the collection: Love Notes, Volume Up, and XOXO papers.

For my next step, I added two strips of patterned paper, Volume Up and Skip a Beat, which I distressed with scissors, to the top of the layout and stitched using my sewing machine. I printed six photos of my daughter on her first Valentine’s Day, and since the collection gives vintage vibes, I thought an older photo of her would be perfect!

I matted each photo on Totally Rad paper and placed foam adhesive behind the photos. Adding layers to my projects is one of my favorite things to do. You add layers with paper, paint, inks, gesso, foam adhesive, and much more! Remember that the different textures of the materials you are using create layers of contrast on your project. Next, I created clusters with the epoxy stickers and bits and pieces from the collection, placing the embellishments where I loved them the most.

Add multiple photos to your layouts, especially when you love every single one of them (even with the crying faces!) If you already have a lot of color in your project, use black-and-white photos! Try out a die cut title, too—the Bella Blvd Cut Outs are the cutest, and there’s no machine required!

Are you ready to see how this layout came together? Check out my quick video and try to recreate the page yourself!

I can’t wait to see what you create using the Our Love Song collection. Thank you so much for having me, SCT!
