Happy Magazine Monday, friends!
Have you had the chance to curl up with the Fall 2019 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today? It’s always so exciting to think that all over the world YOU are reading and enjoying it! And we have SO MUCH FUN putting it together for you.
Today I want to give you a little peek into the issue and share with you…
THREE THINGS I LOVE ABOUT THE FALL 2019 ISSUE!
- Handmade beauty
Our 3T’s article focused on handmade embellishments, and I seriously can’t get enough of those delicious stitched leaves on Maryám Perez’s layout!
- Vicki Boutin’s craft space
What an absolutely FUN peek into Vicki’s vibrant work area! Did you know that you can see a fun walk-through of Vicki’s space on our YouTube channel? Yep! It’s true! And you can find it right here.
- Pretty fall cards
I was mesmerized by Cindy Schuster’s gorgeous card on pg. 54. Those leaf die cuts with the sponged ink look so magical!
What were your favourite parts of the issue? We’d love to hear!
In addition, I thought I’d share a card I made with the Simple Blessings Card Kit from SCT! It’s the perfect way to thank all of YOU for being a part of our SCT world. It means so much to all of us!
This card is so simple and pretty, and it honestly took only a few minutes to create! I can’t tell you the last time I used a rub-on, and it was perfect. Love the Wildflower & Honey patterned paper pad by Vicki Boutin included in the kit. This gorgeous floral paper begged for some gold gems, and basically that was all it needed!
Hope your autumn is filled with many blessings!
~ Susan R. Opel, Editor-in-Chief
The fall cards were lovely and right up my alley. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us!
SUCH PRETTY THINGS, ALL OF THE CARDS & THE LAYOUT, THE FANCY STITCHING, AMAZING INKING, AND VICKI’S CRAFT ROOM ARE ALL AMAZING!!! (YELLING-CUZ ITS A GREAT WAY TO START OFF MY MONDAY!)
I also adore those stitched leaves and the sponged leaves and the thank you card. I love each and every part of your magazine especially this Fall edition, the colours, the scrapbook layout pages and cards are awesome. I always enjoy the 10 most wanted article. And the sneak peak of Vicki Boutin’s new craft room is candy to the eyes. I think you should always have an article about someone’s (Shimelle, Meghann, Jen, Jess, Heidi… etc) crafty corners. I remember Susan R. Opel had shared her crafty little corner in one of the last issues and I had adored it. Good job and thank you.
Beautiful projects. And I can re-create that last card as I bought the card kit. Thank YOU, Susan!
To sum it up Beautiful.
So much goodness packed into 82 pages. There’s nothing quite like receiving a fresh issue in the mail to pet and smell. Yes, I’m weird like that lol.
