SCT Magazine - May 2020 Free Cut File

Download HERE

Hi there SCT fans! It is cut file time again and the May 2020 free cut file is great for adding lots of big titles or a background for a project! I have a fun idea to share with you using this month’s freebie, too!

I used the spring SCT Delivered Garden Party kit to create this project along with the cut file:

Supplies | SCT Delivered Garden Party Kit; Cardstock: American Crafts; Watercolor Markers: Vicki Boutin; Punches: Stampin’ Up!

This month, I decided to use the cut file not only as the title for my page but also to create my own patterned paper for this project. Yes, my own patterned paper! I used the PNG file in the .zip folder as a digital stamp and printed it on my laser printer over and over on a sheet of smooth, white cardstock. Once the design was printed, I painted in each letter with watercolor paint to add some color!

I let that paper dry and then punched 2″ circles from the paper to use on my page. I cut the cut file from textured, white cardstock and added patterned papers from the spring SCT Delivered kit to bring in some of the colors on the page.

The cut file freebies each include a PNG file that you can print out and cut yourself if you don’t have your own digital die cutting machine. If you print the images on a laser printer, you can add foil to them for another fun twist!

I hope you see that cut files are not JUST for cutting—there are lots of fun ways to use each of these freebies!
