Hello friends, it’s Mari here with some scrapbooking inspiration using a FREE cut file! I love using a cut file as a starting point for a layout! They do so much of the groundwork for setting up a design! On the layout I’m sharing with you today, I used the new Flower Garden cut file from Paige Evans to begin. Take a look at the cut file that you can download for free!

And here is the layout I created with it:

Supplies | American Crafts Dreamer collection: Patterned paper, 6×8 paper pad, ephemera, Thickers; American Crafts: Cardstock; Doodlebug Design: Twine; Altenew: Enamel dots; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: EZ Runner tape adhesive, 3D foam adhesive
I cut the file easily using my Silhouette Cameo and white cardstock from American Crafts to contrast against the base for my layout: a blue and white dot paper called Purple Floral from the Dreamer collection from American Crafts. I printed my two black and white photos at 3 x 2.5″ and mounted them on white cardstock for extra contrast. To bring colour to the top of the page, I added a mat of patterned paper from the American Crafts Dreamer 6 x 8″ paper pad to my photos. To embellish the photo area, I added beautiful Dreamer ephemera elements to the left of the photo mat.

Embellished tags aren’t just for gifts! I created a tag embellishment for this layout with ephemera from the collection and added white Doodlebug twine at the top of the tag for texture. I fussy cut florals from the cut-apart patterned papers (Tip: you can always create your own ephemera with patterned paper!) and added a Dreamer Thicker sticker. I popped the tag up with foam adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to give it even more dimension.

I backed the cut file with beautiful papers from the Dreamer 6×8 paper pad—these smaller scaled patterns were perfect for backing the flowers. Then, I added the cut file to the lower portion of the layout using foam adhesive to give it dimension. Lastly, I sprinkled Altenew Cherry Blossom enamel dots in several areas for added interest and a different texture.
Starting with a cut file is an easy way to create a quick and lovely layout! I hope you’ll download this cut file today and share what you create with it by tagging @sctmagazine on social media and using the hashtag #sctmagazine! Have an amazing day, friends! Have fun crafting!
