Welcome back to the blog for our final day of Creative Team introductions! We have five team members to announce today—some new and familiar faces! Let’s start with our first familiar face, Jess Forster! Jess has been a long-time team member, and instructor at our Crop & Create events!

Let’s get to know Jess:
Based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Jess is a pediatric social worker by day and a modern memory keeper by night. When she is not preserving memories, Jess loves working out, decorating her home, and snuggling with her Bernadoodle dog, River. When she’s not hanging out with her husband and two kiddos or indulging in too much coffee in her east-end neighbourhood, Jess can be found documenting her life through heartfelt journaling, and bold photos in her layouts. Jess thrives on connecting with fellow memory keepers at Crop and Create events both in person and online!
What is Jess’ favourite technique?

I love using a “Through the Years” storytelling technique using pocket pages. I love documenting similar-themed photos over the years, especially of my kids in their Halloween costumes. In my example, using the Simple Stories, Simple Vintage Scary Stories Collection, I created a 12×12 pocket page layout that culls together 6 years of Halloween, ever since my kids could stand on our front porch together. Oh, my heart! How quickly time flies!
What is Jess’ favourite project from 2024?

I loved both projects I created for the 2024 Spring/Summer Issue of SCT magazine this past year. I love documenting important milestones, like my daughter’s grade 6 graduation and a family travel page of Dingle, Ireland.

I love working with warm colour schemes like that from the Simple Stories True Color Collection and cool colour schemes from the Ali Edwards 2023 Travel line. As always, I love pocket pages.

Next, we would love to welcome a new creative to our team, Enza Gudor! We have loved Enza’s style for years, and cannot wait to share more of her card making projects with you in 2025!

Let’s get to know Enza:
My name is Enza Gudor. I was born and raised in Italy but moved to the Pacific Northwest almost 20 years ago. I have always enjoyed crafting, and in 2014 I discovered the world of scrapbooking. I was hooked! I started sharing my work on social media and joined several design teams. I had the best time, but after about 6 years, I felt the need to take a break from it all, decompress, and enjoy crafting just for the love of creating. Three years later, a card-making video popped up in my YouTube feed, and once again I couldn’t resist! I have a full-time corporate job and three kids that keep me busy. In my spare time, besides crafting, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family. I am so excited to be here and share my creations with you.
What is Enza’s favourite type of product to create with?
Craft dies!
What is Enza’s favourite project from 2024?

This card exemplifies my style. Embossed backgrounds and die-cut floral pieces in a variety of colors bring me happiness. The layered look is also something you can expect to see most of the time on my projects.

Our third team member introduction for the day is a familiar face that we are so excited to welcome back, Andrea Lake! Andrea taught our popular Mini Albums 101 class and is also a Crop & Create instructor, and she has more in store for you this year!

Let’s get to know Andrea:
I’m Andrea Lake, a passionate memory-keeper from Venezuela, living in the U.S. since 2016 with my family and two dogs. I love creating mini albums and scrapbook layouts to capture life’s moments and setting goals in my colorful planners. Being with my family and my crafty friends, making beautiful memories, is where I feel most at home!
What is Andrea’s favourite type of product to create with?
Patterned paper is my favorite product to create with, especially when I pair it with my favorite tool: my fussy-cutting scissors. I feel that the possibilities are endless when you play with paper. You can create fabulous and intricate backgrounds, create your own embellishments, and even design your own titles. There’s so much you can do with just paper!
What is Andrea’s favourite project from 2024?

This is one of my favorite projects of the year because it allowed me to focus on my crafting journey and reflect on all the things I’ve done, the people I’ve met, and the wonderful community I’m fortunate to be a part of.

I was also able to document all the details of my Scrap & Learn adventure alongside my friends Gloria Parra and Celes Gonzalo. I truly enjoy documenting crafting memories using crafting-themed paper collections, and this one is definitely among my all-time favorites.

Our next team member is another fresh face, and we have loved her card creations for some time! Please welcome Charlene Madrid to the team!

Let’s get to know Charlene:
Hello everyone! I’m beyond thrilled to join the talented team at Scrapbook & Cards Today! My papercrafting journey began during the pandemic, when I discovered the joy of cardmaking. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and I haven’t put my scissors down since. I love experimenting with various techniques, from clean and simple designs to mixed media, and I’m always excited to try new colors and products. As a proud mom of three amazing boys and the happy owner of two sweet pups, I’m grateful for the creative outlet that papercrafting provides. Joining the Scrapbook & Cards Today team is a dream come true, and I’m honored to be part of this renowned publication. I’m looking forward to sharing my passion for papercrafting with this wonderful community and inspiring others to explore their creativity.
What is Charlene’s favourite technique?

I’m all about exploring new techniques in cardmaking, but if I’m being honest, ink blending is my first love! There’s something about combining colors and watching a design come together that just makes me happy. I love how ink blending lets me create subtle, ombre effects or bold, vibrant backgrounds—the possibilities are endless! Die-cutting is a close second, though. I love the precision and versatility it adds to my projects, and how it lets me add intricate details and textures to my cards.
What is Charlene’s favourite project from 2024?

This card is especially meaningful to me because I made it with love for my son’s birthday. The adorable pug, festive presents, and vibrant coloring all came together perfectly to capture his joy and love for dogs. Seeing his face light up when he received it made it my favorite card of the year!

Our final introduction of the day may not need an introduction to most of you who have been in the SCT community for some time! Virginia Nebel has been a long-time team member and Crop & Create instructor and we just love the ideas and amazing projects that she brings to this team! We cannot wait to see what fresh ideas Virginia comes up with this year!

Let’s get to know Virginia:
Hello crafty friends, I am so thrilled to be a part of the 2025 SCT creative team! I love all the people (online and in person) connections made from this wonderful crafting community and it is something I will always treasure. I have been paper crafting and memory keeping for over 20 years and this creative outlet truly brings joy to my heart. When I am not busy at my craft desk you can find me cooking a new recipe, sewing a few quilt blocks, tending to my apiary and enjoying some quiet time at the cottage.
What is Virginia’s favourite tool?
My favorite tool is my paper trimmer and yes (shh!)I have many! I like exact and equal margins for my photo mats and my go-to trimmer is the Tonic guillotine!
What is Virginia’s favourite project from 2024?

My favorite project is a layout featured in the recent Fall/Winter SCT issue. I love to create with fun layers of patterned papers, ephemera pieces, and ink blending/stenciling in the background. From a memory-keeping perspective, I am at a stage in life where I tend to document my appreciation and gratefulness for everyday moments. Looking back on this page, I remember so fondly that fall day while raking leaves into a pile, my pup jumping in and claiming her spot, she was so cute!
