We are so excited to welcome our next returning team member this year, Nathalie DeSousa! Nathalie creates beautiful layouts, cards, and more—and we love them all!

Let’s get to know Nathalie:

Hi there! I am Nathalie DeSousa from Ecuador, but also a proud Canadian for over 30 years. I am blessed to be a stay-at-home wife and mom to our two adult children and 14-year-old puppy. I have crafted my entire life, and memory-keeping has always been one of my favorite hobbies. Notebooks and pictures have been a constant since I was a child, and now it is my way to pass on our memories to future generations. If I am not behind the desk working on anything memory-keeping, you can always find me reading a book with a cup of black coffee and a piece of dark chocolate! I am so glad to be here and share a bit of my ideas and life with you all!

What is Nathalie’s favourite colour scheme?

I am a black and white with a hint of rainbow kind of girl. I believe black and white are underrated colors that can shine with just a sprinkle of rainbow magic.

What is Nathalie’s favourite project from 2024?

I love simple, clean, and layered projects. Mixed media and paper layering are my go-to techniques, along with a black and white and a hint of rainbow—my favorite color palette. So, being able to combine them makes this one of my favorite projects!

This returning team member probably needs no introduction, but we are so excited to welcome her back—say hello to Mindy Eggen, and get ready to be inspired by her gorgeous card creations this year!

Let’s get to know Mindy:

Mindy has been working in the crafting industry for about six years through her blog and YouTube channel. She loves sharing techniques and card inspiration using a variety of products. Crafting has always been an outlet for Mindy, and she is thankful that she can do it full-time with so many amazing companies in the industry. It’s a perfect fit for Mindy since she became a stay-at-home mom in 2013 for her autistic son. Mindy has a supportive husband and a teenage daughter.

What is Mindy’s favourite type of product to create with?

Layering stencils because they can create quick and simple designs or I can take a little extra time to add depth to the image with multiple colors of ink. 

What is Mindy’s favourite project from 2024?

One of my favorite projects from 2024 was created with Lovely Flowers from Gina K Designs. This is a beautiful stencil to create with. I loved the image, the soft ink blending in the background, and the heartfelt sentiment that fit nicely on a landscape card.

Next, let’s say hello to a new team member, Brianna Estrella! We have featured Brianna’s work here on the blog and in our issues, and have been wowed by her designs! We can’t wait to see what she creates this year!

Let’s get to know Brianna:

Hello! My name is Brianna and I’m so excited to be here! I’ve been scrapbooking for over 19 years and I love to create 12×12 layouts. We are a military family currently stationed in our home state of California. It’s so nice living close to family again after moving away 15 years ago! I have 3 children, Noah, Elijah, and Annie and you’ll see them on a lot of my pages. I love coffee, reading, thrifting, and spending time with my family. I’m also a big Swiftie and I’m a sucker for Swedish candy.

What is Brianna’s favourite tool?

This is a hard one since I LOVE my tools… I’d have to say other than my beloved Tim Holtz 9.5 inch scissors, a distress tool is my favorite.  I love distressing and roughing up the edges of my paper layers. It really adds that extra something to all of my layouts.

What is Brianna’s favourite project from 2024?

This was also a hard one! I had quite a few favorite projects from 2024 but in the end, this layout won because there were so many different techniques on one layout. While I love making cards, I don’t usually make them that often. I do love to incorporate some card making techniques into my layouts though! I did a bit of ink blending, stamping, heat embossing, and die cutting on this particular page. This layout was a lot of fun to put together!

Our next team member is one we are so happy to welcome back, Paige Evans! Paige not only creates for our issues but is also our Creative Editor, helping us to plan our issue content! Paige also creates the best cut files for us, and you can find FREE files to download from our blog HERE and from our issues HERE!

Let’s get to know Paige:

Paige has been scrapbooking since she was 16 years old when she got her very first job at a little local scrapbook store in Redmond, Washington called Yesterdays Scrapbooking & Stuff. She’s been scrapbooking for over 22 years and loves it as much today as she did back then! Paige has 16 signature scrapbooking collections with American Crafts with two more in the works. She loves teaching in-person and virtual classes, showing how to create colorful and unique layouts & mini albums as well as Coptic bookbinding courses. Paige lives in the suburbs of Denver with her husband of 16 years, son Fox, daughter Jane, as well as two cute cats and a bunny.

What is Paige’s favourite product to create with?

My favourite product to work with is patterned paper! 

What is Paige’s favourite project from 2024?

I’ve attached a photo of my favorite layout from 2024 which was made during a YouTube live featuring my past Bungalow Lane collection with American Crafts. I mixed patterned paper pennants with photos also shaped into pennants to create a banner-filled page!
