Hello there! It’s Meghann Andrew with you today, and thanks for stopping by the SCT blog! I don’t know about you, but the day that my SCT Sampler arrives on my doorstep is a pretty awesome day each month. I love seeing the latest paper crafting goodies that have been added to my box—especially ones from manufacturers that I don’t often use or find in a store near me.

Today I’m here to share a brand new 8-1/2″  x 11″  layout that I created using the October 2018 SCT Sampler, and since it’s almost Halloween, I thought I would create a cute and spooky page about my daughter’s first real candy haul.

Supplies | SCT October Sampler

By cutting and strategically layering the 6″ x 6″ patterned papers from the SCT Sampler, I was able to create a fun and vibrant background for my single photo, which was layered on top of an awesome die-cut envelope from Crate Paper. This created the foundation for my layout, and I tucked die-cuts from Bella Boulevard, as well as a stamped flower from Heidi Swapp in between the layers.

Below my photo, I placed my title, which I created by fussy cutting the “remember this” phrase from one of the Crate Paper patterned papers, and adding the gorgeous exclusive “magic” word.

Remember that envelope on my layout background? I had to make good use of it! I printed a second photo, adhered it to the journaling tag included in the envelope and added the “so much candy” die cut at the base. This phrase could not have been more fitting for this photo, and I love that I was able to add another image while still keeping my layout clean and uncluttered.

How about a first-hand look at how this page came together? Plus, I’ll show you everything I received in my SCT Sampler this month. Click below to watch my process video, where I create this magical Halloween layout!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget that the SCT Sampler for December preorder period runs through October 25th. Sign up today and don’t miss out on your next package of fun!
