I’m a stay-at-home Mom married to a very supportive husband that let’s me indulge in all things crafty. We have our daughter Ali (13), who also enjoys getting crafty and our son Dalton (9), who is Autistic and enjoys coloring. Together we all live in Wisconsin and enjoy all the beautiful seasons it has to offer. I started getting crafty back in grade school with coloring contests but after high school I started dabbling with stamping and heat embossing. Then I played around with scrapbooking and by scrapbooking I mean stickers. I evolved as the scrapbooking world evolved. I became a Close To My Heart consultant for a while holding classes and workshops and after 6 years, I took a small break. I returned to scrapbooking/cardmaking in 2016 and was completely smitten with all the wonderful products in the crafting world! When I’m not crafting, I’m snuggling with the kids, watching crazy movies or hanging with the kids outside.
Where is the first place you look for inspiration?
The first place I look for inspiration is Instagram. There are so many talented cardmakers out there. Sometimes all it takes is a color scheme to get me started and whoosh! Off I go!
What is your go-to, must have tool?
My go-to, must have tool is my tweezers. I use my tweezers for everything from lining up my sentiments so my fingers don’t get in the way to holding my card stock when I heat emboss.
When did you start papercrafting and how did it come about?
I technically started paper crafting back in grade school by entering coloring contests. My brother was an amazing artist so I’m pretty sure I got my inspiration from him. He used to do canvas paintings in high school that I fell in love with. From coloring contests, I went into scrapbooking and eventually to cardmaking.
At which store would you like to max out your credit card?
If there was a store that had nothing but Marvel and DC movies and collectibles, that’s where I’d max out my credit card. And my husband’s as well. I’m a total nerd for my superhero movies.
If you could have one super power, which would you choose?
If I had one superpower I would choose to snap my fingers and my house would be clean. Doesn’t everyone wish for that?
