Pssstt… I’m going to let you in on a little secret. We added something completely different to this year’s Creative Planner.

For the first time, we’ve added bonus projects created from the leftover supplies for that month’s layout. If you aren’t familiar with our Creative Planner, each month of the year comes with a layout and bunch of cool tips and teaching points to keep you inspired for the month. The bonus projects we’ve added are made from leftover products from the layouts each month. It’s a great way to start seeing the full potential behind that pile of scraps.

To give you a better idea, here’s a little sneak peek at the layout I created for the planner.

I then took leftover bits from the collection I used (Cute Girl by Crate Paper — swoon!) to create a mini album.

2

We’ll have the full album available to see on our website next week. In the meantime, I’ll just give you a look at a few of the inside pages.

I love that I was able to do this book with only the supplies I had leftover from my layout. What do you do with your leftover supplies? Keep them? Use them? Give them away? This is an area where I always struggle. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Being the holiday season, I thought I’d take a minute to also show you what Jen Gallacher did for her bonus project. Isn’t it spectacular. She’s so talented! Her layout is also gorgeous. It just shines with the rich green woven throughout.

4

Giving you a jump on Valentine’s Day, here’s the heartfelt card combo Paige Evans created using the scraps from her outstanding layout.

5

I hope you’ll start 2017 off on an organized note by checking out our Creative Planner. It has so much to offer and really is so pretty. You can see more of what’s inside and order your copy here.

Also on its way to you is our Winter issue. Just in time for holiday crafting, outdoor fun, and Valentine’s Day!

You’ll find plenty to crush on in this issue, including projects that document the entire fun-filled month of December at a glance. From traditional layouts and pocket scrapbooks to projects made using a phone and mini albums, there are many choices to choose from. Here’s a peek at what I did, using a few apps on my phone.

6

This is also the issue we wrap up our Ten Years series of articles, as presented by our design team, which celebrates our tenth year in publication. This time, it’s the teams’ go-to photo tricks. Isn’t Stacy Cohen’s page on shooting by low light stunning?

7

Of course, in the heart of the holiday season, we have plenty of card ideas to get your workshop jumpin’. Jennifer McGuire designed this duo as part of her article on creating cool backgrounds.

8

This is just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more to warm up your creativity this winter. We can’t wait to bring the issue soon. In the meantime, we wish you and yours a joyous holiday season. Thanks so much for always making our days so merry & bright!

Warmly,

Megan Hoeppner
