Let’s kick off week two of our Partner Celebration, shall we? Today we’re very happy to welcome our friends at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to the blog to share some fantastic ways to use adhesive in new ways! Adhesive is such a staple in our craft, it deserves to be in a spotlight, don’t you think!? Let’s take a look and get some great ideas!

You may have heard about Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside many times in some of our creations. Take your adhesive products out from behind layers to become the embellishments. It is a great technique to extend your adhesive use to make something magical!
Let three of our talented design team members share how they use this technique in clever ways with our Metallic Foil Sheets. Click their image to take you to the project tutorial of your choice or visit them all!

Need to add a little sparkle on your card front? Simply apply a strip of Crafty Power Tape (our tear tape) and Metallic Transfer Foil sheet for a beautiful gold border. Accent with Adhesive Dots and foil instead of sequins. Both are Wear Your Adhesive on the Outside techniques!

What a great idea. I never thought of using adhesive tape and foam tape with foil. Love this. I need to try this right away
EZ runner is my must have adhesive! And foam squares are a close second!
I love that I can add foil to the adhesive to get the foiled look, and I don’t need a machine to do it!
The E-Z runner is the adhesive I use all the time!
I like using foam squares for a variety of depths for embellishments or sentiments.
My favorites rite technique is dry embossing because it gives such bang for the buck!
Eeek. Love today’s prize. And the idea of a foil swatch book is perfect.
Love the idea of creating a foil swatch booklet. I will definitely create one when I win this fab prize. ;-)
Thanks for the chance.

Never leave adhesive behind! One of my favorite things is using foil with double sided tape. It is so easy to do.
love to foil onto adhesives for quick results
I love the 3D foam and how wonderful to make use of the adhesives with foil!
I am in love with the foil swatch idea it is so dang cute and fun and I think it has many uses for sure. Now to find the time to make one of my own although in truth it might be wrong to buy more foil so I can do this. No who am I kidding! Thanks so much for all the fun moments this month. I think this might be my vacation this year. 30 mins at a time.
I love the new ideas! The foiling idea is super cool. I’ve wanted to jump on the foiling trend but didn’t want to invest in a machine so these products seem like a good way to give it a try. I love your adhesives and I’m not just saying that to try to win the prize package! Thanks for the tips and opportunity!
My adhesive tip is it pays to use a product that may cost a bit more. It’s worth it to not have elements falling off your card or layout because you used a less expensive adhesive.
What an amazing prize pack and so many great tips!
I never thought of a foil swatch booklet. What a genius idea! ????
I am well known for my struggles with adhesive but I love the ideas above and I’m determined to try them!
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L are my go-to! I love adding dimension to pages and cards.
My tip is to always have a variety of adhesives available for when those moments of inspiration happen.
Wonderful prize package! I love the projects!
I love using glitter with the Crafty Power Tape! Love the sparkle it adds to my card! I’ll remember that it works with foils too and I’ll be trying that soon!
Beautiful projects & great ideas! I love adding foil to adhesive backed foam–like the rainbow Martha made!
Congrats to all the lucky winners of last week’s giveaway!!
My favorite adhesive tip is to use the correct adhesive for the project.
My tip is to use adhesive sheets behind fine die cuts.
A tip is to always buy adhesive ahead of time so don’t run out. I try to have at least one backup and then as soon as I’m close to running out, buy another.
I’ve never tried burnishing foil onto micro dots and adhesive foam- great idea, can’t wait to try that technique! I have tried pressing gilding flakes onto adhesive tape. I love your products!
I use scrapbook adhesive all of the time for my cardmaking and scrapbooking!! I don’t have a technique that has not already been thought of….but I do think that adding a strip of tear tape and burnishing glitter on it, gives any craft a real pop of shine!
Congrats to all the winners of the wonderful prizes.
I love and use the E-Z runners in my scrapbooking and cardmaking. Love it, it is my go to adhesive. Full disclosure, I have tried other companies and alway come back to my favourite E-Z Runner.
I love using foam dot adhesives for a pop to cards and layouts. I save the the dot sheets and cut them to use for larger pieces that I want popped out! Love all the different ways to use adhesives. Thank you!
These cards are great, and I really love Connie’s metallic foil swatch book! I love using adhesive to stack up die cut sentiments for cards. :)
Oohhh……. love these ideas! My tip would be to use permanent adhesive when making cards ahead of time or mailing them. That way everything stays intact. Also love using the ez runner adhesive dispenser. Thanks for the chance to win.
The tips shared…a favorite would be using a small piece to add a foil border to the project. I love the adhesive squares regular thickness and thin. I reach for those a lot.
i so need these adhesives- and i need a tutorial on how to use them- this is the area i am weakest in- i purchased so many that did not work too.
Love scrapbook adhesives products! They are the best!
My favorite adhesives are Bearly Arts liquid glue and foam squares/dots/tape, I can’t live without them! Best technique that I learned from Vicki Boutin is to place pop dots or foam tape behind elements when building a page but leave the release paper on the back so you can still slide photos behind them.
My go-to adhesive is the EZ Runner Grand!! I love it!! Thanks for the chance to win this prize package!!
I don’t know if this is a tip but those skinny adhesive strips we got last time were life changing! They are perfect for die cut words!
Love this prize pack, so incredibly useful! My fav adhesive tip is using a small bit of liquid glue over foam tape to get a bit of wiggle room!
Relatively new to card making, just under a year, up until now I would glue die cuts, including those intricate ones, to my projects. I’ve seen a technique that uses adhesive sheets that you run through the die cutting machine. I really want to try that. I think it would be a game changer, and I wouldn’t need to worry about glue oozing onto my project making it sticky.
Fabulous ways to use
the foils. I like using
tape and fine glitter.
Carla from Arizona
While I have used E-Z Runners on occasion over the years, I have never tried transfer foil. What a great idea for trying it out! Thanks for such amazing products and a chance to win such an awesome prize pack!
I love to pop things up with foam dots and square.
I use the foam squares on every project I use them, be it a card, poster or in scrapbook projects. I really like the dimension it gives.
The crafty power tape works great when creating 3D cards!
I love using foam squares to pop some dimension on my cards. I’ve never thought of using adhesive strips with foil! It’s an amazing idea, I don’t have a foil system so this is something I’m excited to try!
Great start to week 2! who doesn’t need adhesives?
I’m new to foiling, but this looks like a fast and easy way to get into it. Thanks for the inspiration and prize pack
I love the idea of adhesive on the outside!
Congrats to the winners! And I LOVE Scrapbook Adhesive especially their tape runners!!!!!!!!! The EZ Grand Runner is my favorite! Sooooooo amazing!
One of the best things I’ve learned is to use an adhesive foam tape with the protective strip removed so that it easily curves around a circle when making a shaker card.
