We all know that the key to avoiding the craziness around the holidays is organization and planning ahead, right? Well, today I’m here to share some ideas on how to organize everything you need to help you plan a successful season.

Whether you keep track of all of your Christmas events and activities in your everyday Memory Planner, or you designate a special album just for this time of year, you should make sure to keep all of your supplies together and handy. You never know when you’ll have a few minutes to work on your documenting and you don’t want to waste any time searching for your adhesive!

Place your favourite pens and markers, along with a pair of small scissors, a tape runner, stapler, some paper clips and a roll or two of washi tape into a small cup or box and keep them right next to your planner.

Sort through your festive stamp sets & pull out your favourites. You can add these to your supply box, or just tuck them into the back of your planner so they are right there when you need them.

Grab some extra to-do and goal making sheets and add them to your stash…and don’t forget extra page-protectors to hold additional photos. I like to use the protectors to house magazine cut-outs of projects & recipes I’d like to try, too!

Adding your favourite Christmas cards or correspondence directly into your planner is a snap, no matter which style book you’re using when you have the We R Memory Keepers Planner Punch Board. All you have to do is pop in the insert for your planner’s binding mechanism, punch a few holes and your additions fit perfectly! Make sure to place your Punch Board or other hole punch with the rest of your supplies.

Here are some things you may want to add to your planner over the next few months:

  • Gift lists
  • Holiday card lists
  • Craft ideas
  • Recipe ideas
  • Party planning sheets
  • A calendar! Try adding all of your events & activities to it using a photo-editing program. Print it out and pop it right into your planner. I love looking back at my December calendars and seeing all that we were able to fit in!

While you’re at it – don’t forget to have extra photo/copy paper and printer ink on hand! There’s nothing worse than running out right in the middle of a project…don’t ask me how I know.

Holiday documenting doesn’t have to be hard or time-consuming. And you’ll save yourself a ton of time and frustration if you have everything you need at the ready.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope I’ve inspired you to start thinking about planning ahead for December!
