Howdy everyone! I’m back…. :)
It’s Layle Koncar – think ‘Gayle’, with an ‘L’ – Director of Marketing for Simple Stories/Carpe Diem. I’m so excited to be here with you again this month sharing my October set up in my A5 Carpe Diem planner.
For the fall I switched back to the blush planner, typically not a color you might think of for fall, right?! The reason I chose this color is because I’m using the new Beautiful A5 Boxed Set. Oh my gosh, if you haven’t seen the Beautiful (aptly named!!) products, boy are you in for a treat!
One of the first things I do when I sit down to put together a new month in my planner is to lay out all of the products I might want to work with. That makes it easy to see everything & decide what I want to use where. This tray from The Container Store makes it sorting & organizing before I get started a breeze.
The pockets of our Carpe Diem planners are one of my favorite features – adding cards, die cuts, clips & stickers to decorate them is so fun! Most of the time when I open my planner I have a loooooong list of TO DO’s to tackle, having something fun to look at when I start makes it a little easier to get started!
One of my favorite inserts in the Boxed Sets has always been the ‘month in review’ page that’s included at the start of each month. It’s a place where I add all of the important things that are happening in a month & the important things I need to make sure not to forget. It’s a great ‘at a glance’ overview of the month.
When it comes to decorating my planner, stickers are where it’s at! Did you know that the square-ish stickers in both our 4×6 Stickers and the Sticker Tablets are designed to fit perfectly in the monthly squares? Yep!
I love the vintage florals paired with the gold foil accents – so sophisticated! The pastel pink paired with the marbled mint green is a gorgeous compliment to the contrasting pops of black throughout. There are 2 different washi tape patterns in the Beautiful collection; I used the vintage floral design to cover the holes on the monthly spread & then repunched the holes with my Carpe Diem A5 Punch to add a little more decoration to the spread.
The Sticky Notes in the collection are gorgeous! I love to use sticky notes. LOVE! I have the sticky notes in the middle of my weekly spread so they’re right there, handy when I need them.
Thanks so much for letting me share my October set up with you. You’ll find me on Instagram here at @laylekoncar; keep an eye out on Instagram for more of my planner & traveler’s notebook adventures :)
I’ll see you back here again in a few months. Enjoy the cool temps & sweater weather as we move into Fall!
