Hooray – It’s officially summer! Whether you are going on your dream vacation or exploring where you live, you probably have some fun plans in the weeks and months ahead. Today I am here to share my latest travel page and my three of my favourite pocket page products / tips to help document your adventures!

1.       Neutral Project Life Cards.

In this layout, I use cards from Becky Higgins DIY Shop value kit.  The cream, brown, and green journaling and filler cards go well with any outdoor photos you may have. Furthermore, you can’t go wrong with the Midnight Edition of Project Life. Not only does it have a predominately black and white colour scheme; it also contains cards like “Places” and “Today” can help focus your vacation journaling.

2.       Studio Calico Wood Veeners

I am huge fan of geo tags, automobiles and chevrons as pictured on this page. Of course, you could also include these cameras or arrows. Bonus, once you’ve completed your vacation pages, these embellishments work really well on your everyday layouts.

3. Social Media (Facebook / Instagram)

While your away, consider uploading your photos and a few words at the end of each day. Not only does it encourage your to “choose” your best photos while on vacation, you also have a record of you thoughts and feelings written down. Most of your work will be done when finally sit down to create your pages…even it is 7 years *ahem* after the trip.

Thanks for reading! Where your adventure takes you, I hope you have a great time!

Surprise! Guess who is also joining us at Crop & Create Markham and Crop & Create Moncton 2016? Why the lovely Jess Forster of course and we are thrilled! Here is a little bit about Jess:

Jess Forster knew she was addicted to scrapbooking after completing her first Week in the Life album back in 2010. Fast forward to November 2011, Jess gave birth to her daughter, Rowan and suddenly, she had lots of stories to tell but not a lot of time to document them. As a result, Project Life became her go to memory keeping system of choice.

Jess was on the 2014 Becky Higgins Project Life Creative Team and currently teaches online at Big Picture Classes and various local scrapbook stores across Ontario. Jess also produces and hosts her own podcast, Pocket Talk, where she interviews other pocket page scrapbookers from around the world about their creative process.

When Jess is not scrapbooking or hanging out with her family in her Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto, ON, you can find her running or drinking too much coffee.

More information about Jess' classes will be available this fall!
