Welcome, November!

As this month of gratefulness commences, I am filled with thanksgiving for my many blessings. I hope and pray that you are able to embrace all of the people and things that you hold dear.

I recently received the October SCT Sampler, and it included a fantastic collection of patterned papers and other delights that got me excited. I set out to create some cards, and I just couldn’t stop! Keep in mind, the Sampler ISN’T a card kit, but rather a collection of goodies in mini quantities. Nevertheless, by simply adding just a few basic things, you can get a lot of mileage out of the Sampler, especially when making cards.

The delicious papers and doodads in this AMAZING Sampler come from the Doodlebug Design Pumpkin Spice collection and the Simple Stories Cozy Days collection, and there’s a fun stamp and die set from Hero Arts as well as our exclusive “fall” acrylic word. I shuffled things around on my craft table and came up with three fun cards!

Let’s take a look at my results!

I started with a Simple Stories patterned paper that I loved and decided to make a shaker card with the chipboard frame. I’m not particularly fond of raccoons, so I used scissors to trim him down and hid him beneath the fox and chipboard flower.

I couldn’t resist that adorable smiling Doodlebug dimensional pumpkin pie sticker, so I featured her with a pumpkin die, and I trimmed the coffee cup from one of the patterned papers. The twine and the thin striped strip of paper made a good place for the delicious yummies to rest.

The beautiful polka-dotted paper from Simple Stories caught my eye, so I used it as the basis for my third card. I fussy cut a portion of another paper for a floral focal point and added a die-cut and chipboard sticker for my greeting.

Hopefully, my tips and designs have given you some ideas for how to make pretty cards with the sample-sized goodies found in the SCT Sampler. Order your SCT Sampler today!

Here’s to a November filled with many good things!
