Thank you for joining us on Day 2 of our annual 12 Days of Holiday Giving event! It’s been eleven years since we started this fun tradition inspired by Oprah and we gave a little squeal when we saw today’s project and layout! Shall we jump right into it? Let’s sing together…
“On the 2nd day of SCT’s 12 days of holiday giving, SCT shared with me….a beautiful layout from designer Meghan Andrew and a fabulous prize package from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Spectrum Noir and SCT!”
“Hello SCT friends and welcome back to the blog for 12 Days of Giveaways! It’s Meghann Andrew here, and I am excited to be with you during one of the most exciting times here on the SCT blog as we inspire you with holiday projects and give you some goodies!
I have already created a single and a double-page layout, as well as a card using the beautiful, new Let it Snow SCT Delivered scrapbook kit, but I am still creating with this kit! The kit contents, including the exclusive stamp, printables and cut files are just SO good and have been curated perfectly to make your creative time simple and easy. Today I want to share the latest layout that I created with Let it Snow that documents my daughter’s love for presents!
So fun, right? I love this clean, framed design that really helps my photos to shine! I also love that I was able to use two photos in this design—because I had a hard time choosing between the two! After I created a base with the white cardstock, framed in teal, I added the vertical strip of the striped paper to create a column that would ground my entire design.
I printed my first photo at 4″ x 6″ and started layering. The beautiful floral print behind it gave me just the contrast I needed to help it pop off of the page. Around this photo, I used the beautiful exclusive Let it Snow stamp to add pretty pink snowflakes, adding a bit of texture and subtle interest to the background.
I layered my second photo at the corner of my first, and this created an interesting angle where they met to fill with beautiful things! I started out with my journaling card, which I added my typed text to, stamped “#Christmas” on to create a header, and slid beneath the photos slightly. Then, I layered the printable pink watercolor bauble tag on the top corner of my photo. Because the original sentiment on the printable didn’t work for this layout, I simply added the “joyful” sticker on top. Easy and perfect! I finished off this grouping with a floral sticker and one of the gorgeous gold gems found in the kit.
My favorite part about creating this layout was coming up with a title, and I loved starting it off with the teal “peace” exclusive acrylic word. When I create multi-word titles, I like to mix up the colors and textures, so I then die cut the word “love” using the kit digital cut files. I added a pink label and pink puffy stickers from Elle’s Studio to include the word “and” and finished off the title with the gorgeous Thickers included in the kit to spell “presents.” With my fun title surrounded by more stamped pink snowflakes, it really stood out below my photos.
To finish off this page, I just had to turn back to the exclusive stamp set included in the kit! My favorite element on the set is the circular “do not open until December 25th” seal with the Santa in the center! I can see myself using it on our Christmas presents this year to create custom tags. Here, I simply stamped it in teal ink and punched it out to create a custom embellishment. I adhered it with dimensional adhesive right below my title and paired it with the sweet present sticker from the kit sticker sheet, the gold “excitement” sticker and gold star.
I know you will love the gorgeous contents of the Let it Snow scrapbook kit as much as I do, and the memories that you will record with it will make it a favorite in your crafty space. Thanks so much for joining me today and happy creating!
