Hello, Monday and hello SCT friends! Thank you for stopping by to share in Day 8 of our 12 Days of Holiday Giving with us! Today we have a beautiful holiday project created by creative team member Wendy Sue Anderson AND we have another amazing prize package that you are sure to love. Ready? Let’s get started by singing our favourite song this time of year!
“On the 8th day of SCT’s 12 Days of Holiday Giving, SCT shared with me….beautiful custom boxes from Wendy Sue Anderson and a fabulous prize package from We R Memory Keepers and Simple Stories!”
“Hello, and Happy Holidays, friends! It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a quick and easy way to wrap up a small gift, such as a treat or gift card (or both!!) I was able to use the beautiful “Winter Farmhouse” collection by Simple Stories for this sweet little gift bag set. Here’s a look at the set (keep scrolling for a little more detail for each gift bag).
I used my Silhouette to cut out the bags from patterned paper.
Remember, this paper isn’t super heavyweight, so if you are going to want to add a heavier item to the bag, cut a second bag and double them up for strength!
Also, note that you will want to use a strong adhesive to secure the tabs of the bag – we don’t want any precious gifts falling out of the bottom!!
I used a variety of ephemera and chipboard to embellish the front of each bag.
You’ll also spy my favorite twine on each of the bags. I love this lightweight twine and find myself using it on almost every project I create!
You also might notice that I like to use foam adhesive squares behind some of the elements to add a bit of dimension.
Layering different decorative elements give each bag a unique look even though they are essentially the same.
By using the same design, you can create these bags assembly-line-style to get a lot done quickly!
I hope you might consider wrapping your smallish gifts in some sweet little gift bags like these!
Merry Christmas and Happy Paper Crafting to each of you!
