This month, I cut the digital cut file from some simple white cardstock and decided to add some subtle color with inks!

I started with the lightest pink ink color and blended it over top of the flower portion of the cut file, adding in some darker pink ink to add depth to the outer edges of the floral design.

I repeated the process with green ink on the leaves of the cut file, starting with lighter green and adding in darker shades to add dimension.

Once the ink blending was done, I backed the flowers in the design with pink patterned paper, leaving a few of the flowers open.

The inked areas on the cut file add just enough color to add a subtle design instead of piecing together different shades of cardstock.
