Shapes tell the story with Lisa Dickinson!

Shapes tell the story with Lisa Dickinson!

February is the month of love, so why not incorporate an extra bit of love in to your scrapbooks this valentine season with a big, oversized heart?!  Hearts are perfect for documenting not only romantic love stories, but everyday loves as well. On this page, I've created a giant patchwork heart to serve as the backdrop for a list of "currents" that tell the story of me today. I've used several heart-patterned papers, as well as polka dots and stripes to create a fun and whimsical look.

To outline the edge of my heart, I added a stitched border with my sewing machine using red, white and grey threads. You could get a similar look with pens or markers.

And if a heart shape doesn't fit your page theme, you could use just about any other shape. Stars, circles, or hexagons would work just as well! The patchwork adds lots of color and pattern to the design, and it's a great way to use up some of those small scraps of paper too.

Happy Scrapping!
