Sketch challenge winners…and Doodlebug giveaway!

TGIF friends!  Has a it been a busy back to school week for you?  Or are you relaxing an enjoying the last few weeks of summer? We are in full swing back at SCT central with a few exciting projects we can wait to reveal to you over the new few weeks!  Do you record your December memories in a special album? If so, stay tuned! Do you love to do pocket pages? Oh yes, we have some fun things brewing!  We'll be sure to share more as we can but for now, let's get to today's fun!

Several weeks ago, as part of our "100 day of summer fun," we presented a sketch challenge to you! As a reminder, here is the sketch:

This great sketch designed by Cathy Zielske was a popular one! Thank you to everyone who participated.  The idea was we would randomly choose one winner but you know we have such a hard time doing that so we chose three!  Here are their selections:

Ladies, we loved all the creative uses of product and how you used this sketch to tell a story. DAY 19 GIVEAWAY!

We are excited to be featuring a company that is pretty near and dear to us in our "partner celebration" This company truly knows the value of a partnership.  This company is Doodlebug Designs! I first met Cynthea back in 2007 when the magazine was still pretty new and, truth be told, needing support. Almost 70% of magazines close in their first two years, so it can be risky business for both publishers and advertisers alike.  But when I walked into the Doodlebug booth at a trade show so long ago, the owner Cynthea took a great deal of time to understand Scrapbook & Cards Today, how it was different and why it was unique.  She asked great questions and when I presented a media plan to her, she was on board immediately.  We've become great friends over the years. Doodlebug continues to put out amazing products that year over year are innovative, on trend and different from anyone else.  Walking into their booth at a trade show is seriously like walking in to a candy store! Do you know where Doodlebug got it's name? Owner Cynthea was a doodler and her father always called her Doodlebug. I guess you could say that name stuck!

We love working with Doodlebug and their entire team including her wonderful sister Tonya who is incredibly talented, kind and one of those people you would like to talk to forever. It's a great team and when we told them how excited we were to feature them, they too wanted to be part of the fun and offer this fun giveaway for YOU!  The brand new, not yet released…

This line is all fall and combines traditional Doodlebug colours and design. A great homespun feel with so many cute elements.  Just look at those fall friends!
