Stampin’ Up! Inspiration Saturday…and a giveaway!

Stampin’ Up! Inspiration Saturday…and a giveaway!

Hello and welcome to Stampin' Up! Inspiration Saturday!  Life can get busy.  Really busy.  But that doesn’t mean you can’t make time to get creative!  There’s a great bundle from Stampin’ Up! for gals (and guys!) on the go to keep your limited creative time quick, easy, and coordinated!  Today we are featuring the Life On The Go Bundle and some amazing projects created by a couple talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators.

Llet’s check out the retro fabulous projects by Cindy Major of Laval, Quebec.

 1 Square - Cindy Major

Here’s what Cindy had to say about her projects:

“I used one of the journaling cards as the focal point on this card and added a dab of Crystal Effects to the glasses to create a glossy look. The cute bow was created with our Envelope Punch Board – a great way to get more mileage out of this tool!”

  2 Note - Cindy Major

“Waste not, want not! I used the chipboard found in the package of stickers to create this cute little notebook! I used the Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die and the Big Shot to cut the chipboard, covered it with designer paper (from the book included in the kit), and used the designer washi tape to create the notebook spine.”

3 High Five - Cindy Major

“I adhered two of the journaling cards together with designer washi tape to create a mini-card that was just the right size to slip into the cute polka dot envelope included in the kit.”

6b Happy Together - Cindy Major

“To make this cute tag embellishment I used a journaling tag to create an insert for the envelope. I cut it to the appropriate width and then added a piece of designer paper on the back to make the tag longer so that the top would peek out of the envelope.”

Thank you so much Cindy for showing us so many great projects with this bundle!

Up next is the fabulous creativity of Carol Matthews from Truro, Nova Scotia.

7 Frame - Carol Matthews

Here’s what Carol had to say about her projects:

“When I found the ‘Girl You Are Fabulous – seriously’ journaling tag I immediately thought of my granddaughters and the ups and downs have growing up. I thought it would be great for them to have this framed art on their wall to remind them how terrific they really are! So using a frame I had on hand, I added the coordinating Retro Fresh Washi Tape to brighten it up, and placed the matted tag in the centre.”

12b Fabulous note book - Carol Mattews

“This journal was created to accompany the framed tag as a place to record and remember the fabulous things the girls like, think, do, and dream about. There are lots of extra stickers, washi tape, and other embellishments to add to their journalling.”

8 Tags - Carol Matthews

“The luggage tag idea is a result of a recent trip. Sometimes it is hard to determine which bags are yours at the airport and if you have a large, sturdy, colourful tag attached they are much easier to locate!”

13a Cards - Carol Matthews

“These cards almost made themselves! The journaling tags were the inspiration and all I had to do was add some embellishments from the kit and cardstock.”

Thank you so much Cindy and Carol for showing us so many fabulous ways to use the Life on the Go Bundle!  Such wonderful projects!

We are also happy to announce not one, or two but three winners from our last Stampin' Up! Inspiration Saturday.  Winners are:

Party, Party, Party Calypso Coral:

Both kits look great and I could put either one to good use. Thanks for the chance to win. I was torn between the See Ya Later set or the banner punch but the banner punch finally won out.   Posted by: Violet | February 01, 2014 at 07:17 PM

Party, Party, Party Bermuda Bay:

Oh, What wonderful creations by Colleen and Ida! They really showed how versatile the kits are. And there are so many pieces in the kits – what a great value.  My Sale-a-bration fave is the Good as Gold Card Kit. It's pretty neat that it comes with the sentiments in all 3 languages 'cause I have people that I can use them for. Thanks SU!   Posted by: Heather Arsenault | February 01, 2014 at 02:07 PM

Sale-A-Bration item:

Love the stitching. I think the "See Ya Later" stamp set on page 16 is my favorite!  Posted by: Shari Czerwinski | February 01, 2014 at 11:56 AM

Such a beautiful kit here in these fancy colors. It would make the most awesome cards and gifts for sure. And thanks sooo much for all the great examples here from the girls too, they all looks fabulous too.

I really like the journaling cards and the way Cindy used them to make such pretty cards and very bright, and useful, luggage tags. This Kit is very expensive and, while I realize that it comes with a lot, it is not something that I would buy for myself. Thank you for showing us what could be made and all that you could do with it. Perhaps I will rethink its purchase.

What a great collection! I really like the roller phrase stamp, and the cards with unique sayings.
