Good morning SCT friends! Thank you for joining us today for Stampin’ Up! Inspiration Saturday! Today we have Artisan Design Team Member Rhoda MacPherson here so share some GORGEOUS projects she created using some of her new favourite Stampin’ Up! products.

“When you first open a Stampin’ Up! catalogue, there are always a favourite few products that stand out, and the Occasions Catalogue was no different. My eyes fell on the Petal Passion Suite and I drank it all in… Monochrome black and white papers, a watercolour look, beautiful stamp set, coordinating dies and a Memories & More Card Collection. My favourite things all in one beautiful suite, so this is the beautiful suite I’d like to share with you today.

Scrapbook Layout:

My first project was a 12″x12″ scrapbook page, using the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Collection and the coordinating Petal Passion Designer Series Papers (or DSP). At one of our get-togethers, I gave my Stampin’ Up! team a sketch challenge, so I decided to base my layout roughly on this. Here’s the sketch…

I decided to use the pre-printed Memories & More cards down the left hand side and the embellishments included in the collection to frame my photos. The background is a 12″x12″ sheet of Whisper White Card Stock and a piece of the Petal Passion DSP.

Each of the flowers embellishments is sticky backed but I popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give depth. I used some flowers from the coordinating Petal Palette Stamp Set and Calypso Coral ink.

Envelope Mini Album:

My second project with this beautiful suite is a mini album using our Whisper White Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes.

I made each envelope into a pocket and slotted in a Memories & More card with a Circle Tab Punch handle and their initial on it. I asked my husband and four boys to write down a special memory and write it on the card for their pocket. I then added a photo and some embellishments to their page and a pocket or embellishment and quote on the opposite side. The envelopes were scored to give them a little spine and then glue together front to back to form a book. I just added a stiffer front and back cover and spine to protect them.

The covers for each page are pieces of the DSP, embellished with the Petals & More Thinlits Dies and the Memories & More Card Collection embellishments. I used Berry Burst Cardstock and Ink Pad to add colour to the album and the Labeler Alphabet Photopolymer Stamp Set to add my family’s names and initials.

Petal Passion Card:

My last project using this beautiful suite, is a simple card. The Memories & More cards make perfect quotes for albums, backgrounds for scrapbook pages or stand alone as images on cards.

I used some Berry Burst Cardstock for the card base and embossed it with the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the strip of black and white is from the Petal Passion DSP. The floral image and ‘Love’ word are from the Card Collection with a little-stamped sentiment from the Petal Palette Stamp Set in Pear Pizzazz ink.
