Good morning SCT friends! It’s Lauren Alarid, Artisan Design Team member with Stampin’ Up! The Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! is perfect for scrapbook pages! Because of its artistic, textured look, it offers so many creative options. I have paired it with the coordinating Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies for the perfect match for layering stamps and dies, which only adds to the eclectic, textured look. On this layout, you can see how beautifully these coordinate together and enhance each other, with each layer as unique as the last.

The sentiments in this set are great too. You can mix and match the wording as I have done and created so many more combinations. I have stamped my sentiments in Bermuda Bay Ink and cut out each word so that I could create a customized title for my page.

I also have stamped in the same ink onto Pool Party Cardstock and onto my background for more texture and depth. I’ve used a mixture of Bermuda Bay Cardstock, Pool Party Cardstock, and Basic Black Cardstock for additional elements and layers around my focal pictures. A few of these images and die cuts are from the Petal Palette Stamp Set and the coordinating Petals & More Thinilts Dies.

In the upper left part of my focal pictures, there is a geometric-like pattern. This is from the Eclectic Layers Dies. Here’s how it was done:

  1. Die cut into Whisper White Cardstock using the geometrical shaped die (this particular die is unique in that when it cuts, it creates a negative cut).
  2. Use the negative piece that was cut out as a guide for placement of the smaller diamond-shaped pieces onto the background for a white on white geometric, textured effect.
  3. Tip: It’s helpful to use washi tape to keep the guide in place while adhering the pieces in place.

For the finishing touches, I love to add a little bling, because who doesn’t love that?! Since this layout features mostly “cool” colors, I like to stick with silver tones. I used Silver Metallic Thread and tucked a bundle of it behind my layers in the upper left corner. Then I added a few silver glittery elements using the dies with Silver Glimmer Paper and some Silver Mini Sequin Trim. The last little detail was to add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

You can see how the possibilities for different combinations are endless with this stamp and die set. They make layering so easy and fun! Just think of all of the unique layouts you can create with them. I hope you loved this page as much as I loved creating it and feel inspired to create your own eclectic page. Happy Stamping!
