Our friends at Stampin’ Up! have just released another amazing new catalogue and as we always say, when that beautiful catalog lands in the office we stop work and gaze at it lovingly all the while our brains are busy determining what we want to create first!

Build a Birthday stamp set

Let’s see what Collen has created to share with us:

6 - Birthday candles - Colleen Vassos

“Customers new to stamping and card making always want to know what they need to get started. The answer is stamps, paper and ink! With just a few simple supplies you can create stunning cards! My first card features the stamps directly on the note card, the second is a stepped up version using Dimensionals.”

8 - Blooming cards - Colleen Vassos

“Everyone always wants to know what else they can do with their stamp sets, so check out the grass and the flowerpot on these cards. They are from the pedestal stamp! And the stems for the flowers, that’s the stamp with the flags (minus the flags).”

9 - Tip top Taupe card - Colleen Vassos

“Again I like to show other uses for stamp sets, and a cake isn’t just for birthdays. Just choose a neutral colour scheme and this becomes a wedding cake. I used part of the greeting, just the word ‘wishes’, and added a congratulatory sentiment inside.”

10 - Box, tealing and kisses - Colleen Vassos

“I love giving little gifts to my customers at events and these boxes are ideal. The Handpicked Framelits worked with the greeting and the candle! The chocolate kisses are coordinated with the paper, check out the bottom of them.”

7 - Happy cards - Colleen Vassos

“There’s some fabulous washi tape in the new catalogue called Cherry on Top and I just couldn’t resist using it to create another fun birthday card for our theme today. I just love the look of the sentiment cut out with the Hello You Thinlits too!”

Thank you so much Colleen! Your projects are amazing and truly show the versatility of this set!  Now let’s see what Angela McKay has created to share:

2 - Birthday wishes card - Angela McKay

“My new stampers love a stamp set that can be used with just some Whisper White cardstock and a few ink pads.  Build a Birthday is right on the mark for this!  The photopolymer makes for a seamless layout too!”

5 -Birthday card - Angela McKay

“After creating a clean and simple card, my customers and I really enjoy stepping it up with some stunning designer series paper and coordinating envelopes.  That same clean and simple image can really pop when made to be the focal point of a more complex layout.”

3 - Birthday treat - Angela McKay

“So many of my customers have small children and party favours are always something they are looking to create themselves.  By pairing the Build a Birthday stamp set with the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, you’ve got an unbeatable combo.”

1 - Treat bag - Angela McKay

“We all look for versatility in stamp sets and this one has it!  After my monthly stamping get together in May, many commented on the fact that everyday stamp in the set would get regular use.  It has the whole package, images and sentiments. Using just the simple banner image with the sentiment had a striking effect.”

4 - Dot card - Angela McKay

“As a demonstrator I’m always looking for fun ways to share cards with people.  A non-traditional fold, some gorgeous designer series paper and these fun, funky stamps are the perfect way to get ready for a birthday!  This is a birthday stamp set with no age limits!”

Thank you so much Colleen and Angela for sharing your wonderful projects with us today! We have loved seeing your innovative ideas!
