Welcome, everyone! It’s Mindy Eggen and I’m back today to share some inspiration using the May SCT Sampler!

While everything in this lovely assortment of sample-sized products is absolutely amazing, sometimes it can be hard to decide where to start. I want to share with you my process when receiving the SCT Samplers. I’m only sharing three new cards here today, but the possibilities are endless!

The first thing I do is pull out the items that stand out to me. That would include particular patterns, maybe some stickers, or even some words from an ephemera pack. In this Sampler, the rainbows, fruits, and butterflies called to me.

I loved the background of the fruit patterned paper so much that I paired it with a bright yellow card base and added the large Thinking of You die from Hero Arts that I cut from black cardstock.

The next thing that stood out to me in this was the little rainbow stickers. I added them to a white notecard front, rearranging the order from how they were placed on their sticker sheet. I didn’t want to take away from the rainbows, so I just added a small sentiment from the Gina K Designs Hugs stamp set. To tie the colors together, I attached my white notecard to a base made from Coral Reef cardstock from Gina K Designs.

Last, but certainly not least were these gorgeous bright butterflies! The patterned paper in the May Sampler are double-sided and coordinate together perfectly, so I used one piece of the patterned paper as a card base and trimmed down the butterflies for a center panel.

Encouragement cards are in high demand right now, so I used the Hugs die cut and small sentiment from the Gina K Designs Hugs stamp set and added the greeting to the center of my card.

You could also fussy cut these butterflies and add to a card base with foam squares to create another beautiful card!
