Nathalie with you today with a fun little project that will have you reaching for a few pictures and envelopes to create a fun and interactive Thanksgiving mini album! We are so blessed to be surrounded by our family, and it is only fitting that we are thankful for all that they bring to our lives. So, I chose to focus my mini album on my family.
Let’s get started…
Now that your album is ready, it is time to personalize it! I chose a 4.25”x6.26” envelope as a format for my mini and added a vellum envelope for my cover as I wanted the softness and translucency of the paper in the cover of my album
Having the pockets on the left side of the mini pages is a great option to add extra photos as well as your journaling cards
The flaps of the envelope are also a great way to create an interactive element for your album.
In addition, being able to open the envelopes (if you make your own) allows you more interactive elements to the cover of each envelope, like the multipicture element on this page (all I needed was a brad to keep it all together)
I created a small booklet that could easily be added to one of the envelope pockets, thus being able to add more pictures
To secure my album together, I added a small brad to the back cover envelope. A loop of string helps to keep the album closed.
It was so much fun to put this mini together as it was easy to construct and to embellish. The following video will give you a better look at what my album looks like, enjoy…
I hope this inspires you to create a mini to document your blessings during this Thanksgivings season. Remember to share with us your creations so we can be inspired by your work.
