The Colour Suite

Welcome to the July Colour Suite. I am taking the month off because of CHA so I put together the colour suite and we asked the talented Sarah Webb to take my challenge. This month I chose a traditional bright fun summer color palette inspired by the colours of Canada Day and the 4th of July.

Lately when I take my challenges I go a little crazy with colour. I love Sarah’s refreshing take on my challenge. It’s a reminder for me to dial it back a bit. Sarah used the tan neutral as her layout base and layered her colours from there. Her use of colour is simply perfect. Photos can easily be overwhelmed by colour and product. Using the lighter blue behind her photos allowed them to pop right off the page. Subtle hints of red, teal and bright yellow balance out her layout.

I’d like to thank Sarah for playing with the Colour Suite this month so see more of her wonderful work check out her blog http://scropping.blogspot.com/. The August Colour Suite will continue to the colour theory discussion I started in June. Remember to enjoy the journey and happy crafting ~ Summer
