Hello, Scrapbook & Cards Today friends! It’s Becki here to share with you a 6 x 8-inch mini album that I created using some of my favorite products from Simple Stories. I had so much fun working with the brand new My Story collection, Color Vibe cardstock, and a limited edition coral Sn@p album. I cannot wait to share this album with you!

Supplies | Simple Stories: Coral 6×8 album, patterned paper, decorative bradschipboard, 6×8 paper pad, sticker book, foam stickers, chipboard frames, bits & pieces, journaling bits, floral bits, enamel dots, Color Vibe cardstock; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: foam adhesive, Scrapbook.com: tape runner adhesive; Hobby Lobby: black and white ribbon, white crochet thread, white thread; Singer: sewing machine

When I first saw this collection, I immediately knew what story I wanted to tell with these products. My daughter is a senior in high school this year. She’s getting ready to graduate from high school AND college. She’s very involved with academics and she works at the local library. The My Story collection was the perfect collection to document her senior year and her senior photos. The book theme is SO perfect!

This Sn@p album from Simple Stories comes with several inserts and page protectors. For this project, I didn’t use the plastic page protectors or the chipboard inserts. I wanted all of these pages to be out of the pocket and many of them to be interactive.

If you’d like to see the interactive elements, I created a walk-through video over on the Scrapbook & Cards Today YouTube channel which you can find at the end of this post. On the blog today, I wanted to share a few fun things about this album as well as show you some of my favorite pages.

I wanted my daughter to do the journaling in this album. Rather than having her write captions for each of the photos, I kept things simple! There are some fabulous cut-apart cards in this collection with lots of journaling prompts. I cut out a few of my favorite cards and handed them to my daughter. She added her thoughts in her handwriting. While this album doesn’t contain paragraph after paragraph of journaling, it still captures her as she’s preparing for the next chapter of her life.

After taking a peek into my album using the “My Story” collection, I hope you’re feeling inspired to tell your own story! Whether it’s your personal story or the story of your loved ones, this collection is sure to inspire storytelling! Take a look at the entire album in this walk-through video:
