Howdy friends!  It’s Layle Koncar (think Gayle, with an ‘L’) and I’m back this month to share how I’ve set up my Traveler’s Notebook (TN) for the holidays.

I LOVE using Traveler’s Notebooks, they help me stay organized and on top of things, especially when there’s so much going on during the holidays. My favorite thing to do every month is to decorate my TN, and December is no exception.

This month I used the Holly Jolly collection from Simple Stories and then added different holiday-themed things from my stash from there.  One of my favorite things to do is to fussy cut paper (cutting a piece of patterned paper to target a specific design or image) to create my own embellishments or die cuts.  I did that quite a bit this month with the HO HO HO, the Santa, one of the snowmen and the JOY wreath.

As I’m working in my TN and on the go, I like to have a few things with me to work with and decorate as I go.  I added several different inserts this month to make it easy to do just that.

This plastic zipper pouch slides through one of the elastics in the TN and is perfect for storing cards, tags, die cuts, washi and more.

Speaking of washi… I made these 2 washi cards using regular playing cards.  I simply wrapped different holiday washi around a few cards and tucked them into the pockets in the pouch.  MUCH easier than trying to carry rolls & rolls & rolls of washi in my TN! ;)

I modified a 6×8 pocket page to create another pocket insert to store 4×6 stickers, washi & more embellishments.  I simply took a 3×4/4×6 pocket page, trimmed off the part with the holes, turned it on its side and slid it through another one of the elastics in the TN.

One more!  I created this pocket folder using a single sheet of paper.  It’s another great insert to easily add by sliding through an elastic in your TN to store stickers & such on the go.
