Hello friends, it’s Victoria! Welcome back to Took Week here at Scrapbook & Cards Today! In keeping with this week’s theme, I am sharing a 12 x 12-inch scrapbook layout and process video featuring the We R Memory Keepers Pocket Punch Board. Pockets are a super functional element that can be added to any scrapbook project. For this project, I’m using pockets to store hidden journaling and as a layering element.
The WRMK Pocket Punch Board is super simple to use and includes an instruction sheet along with a sizing guide that includes paper size measures. To begin this project, I created a 4.25 x 5 inch pocket using patterned paper from the Amy Tangerine Brave + Bold Collection with American Crafts. I trimmed the patterned paper to 9 x 7 inches per the sizing guide and used the punch board to trim the flaps and the pocket notch.
Following the provided instructions, I scored the patterned paper to create two side flaps and one bottom flap. Next, the flaps are folded into each other to create a pocket. To finish the pocket, I punched a notch at the opening of the pocket using the notch feature on the punch board tool.
To complete this project, I created a 12 x 12-inch background using patterned paper from the Brave + Bold Collection. Next, I positioned the pockets in the center of the layout, creating an anchor for my photos. Later, I will add journaling tags to both of the pockets. This is a great technique if you desire hidden journaling or if you want more space for photos and embellishing.
Next, I added a title at the bottom of the layout that reads “Summer Ready” using the Thickers Stories foam and cardstock letter stickers. For added dimension and interest, I created layered clusters of embellishments using die cuts, vinyl stickers, and cut apart elements from the Brave + Bold Collection. Additionally, I used stamped images from the Brave and Bold Stamp Set to accent a few of the die cut elements. To complete the layout, I added a vinyl label that reads “one of a kind” under the title and a foam phrase sticker that reads, “True Story” to the top of the title for additional interest and dimension.
Check out the process video for this project below so that you can see the awesome We R Memory Keepers Pocket Punch Board in action!

Great video! I love your layout! I like how you stamped parts of the round die cuts to give them a little more interest- I’ve never thought of doing that!
Beautiful color combo. A must try.
I don’t use pockets nearly enough! Thanks for the inspiration!

Beautiful layout! That is such a useful tool. WRMK always comes up with the most ingenius tools!
I loved this layout from Victoria! I too would never have thought of stamping on the circle diecuts, but it adds SO much continuity (not to mention using those texture stamps that I have … ahahaha!) Thank you Victoria for a new tip!!
Very cool.. I always wonder about hidden journaling on my pages.. mostly because they are in page protectors so no one is really going to see it at all.. so even more hidden. :)
