Hello, and Happy Summer friends! It’s Aly Dosdall here with you again to share this month’s installment of my Tools Today series. This month I’m featuring the new DIY Party Tag Punch from my friends over at We R Memory Keepers.

Wr_tag-punchI don’t know about you but I’m always needing a quick and easy tag, whether it’s for a gift, a scrapbook page, or a mini album. I love having this tool handy in a pinch. Check out the tag mini album I created with my Tag Punch!

The Tag Punch allows you to easily create tags in three different widths–2 inches, 1.5 inches, and 1 inch. (You get to determine the length.) This is the perfect way to put all those paper scraps to use!

Check out the video tutorial I made below demonstrating how this awesome tool works!

To create my album, I used papers, die cuts, and stickers from the beautiful We R Memory Keepers Wildflower collection. I cut apart some 3×4 journaling cards, phrases, and tags from the patterned paper.

My photos are about 3 x 4 inches and 2 x 2.75 inches. I added some patterned paper phrases to the larger photos, and stapled the smaller ones to some 2 inch tags I made with my tag punch.

I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch holes in the tops of the photos and journaling cards.

No need to punch holes in the tags I made with my punch. The punch does it for you!

Tip: when I make mini albums I like to have bits and pieces that extend past the borders of the album, and I love to use different size pages. It makes the album look so much more interesting!

With this album I really wanted to record some of my favorite recent travel photos along with some of my thoughts and feelings about traveling. It’s kind of like a journal of my thoughts.
