Hello crafty friends! It’s Nathalie with you today to share a new crafty idea inspired by this week’s theme, gratitude. We have welcomed fall here in Canada, and are celebrating Thanksgiving—getting together with our families to enjoy time together, food, and love. We always prepare small gifts for our hosts (my sister hosts Thanksgiving dinner), so I pulled the latest Altenew release to create these tags to show my gratitude.

Supplies | Cardstock, specialty paper, metal dies, glitter tape, stamps, inks, blending brushes, mini die cutting machine: Altenew; Adhesive: Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L; Die cutting machine: Spellbinders; Ribbon: Maya Road
My idea for the tags was to combine fall, color, and a little spark to bring a rustic elegance to these tags. I was so glad to have Altenew’s fall release at hand to bring my ideas to life. Let’s take a look at each tag.

I trimmed all three tags to 3-1/2 x 6” from white cardstock and one from kraft cardstock. For my first tag, I used the new Zero Waste: Autumn Leaves die to create all the leaves on the tag. The new Zero Waste dies are so versatile, as they create the die cuts, but also a workable negative piece. I backed the negative die cut with one of the tags. Then, I pulled the new Pretty Pumpkins Layering Die Set and a selection of the new Crafty Necessities cardstock to create the pumpkins on the tag. For the sentiment, I used Altenew’s Timeless Sentiments: Holiday Edition and combined kraft and glitter cardstock to create the sentiment.

For my second tag, I used a kraft base and covered it with some of the die cuts from the previous tag. I trimmed ¼” strips from the Crafty Necessities cardstock that I used to create the pumpkins. I attached them to the tag at a slight angle. This time, I created the pumpkins using glitter tape (adhere it to white cardstock before die cutting), metallic cardstock, and glitter cardstock. I adhered the pumpkins to the left of the tag, then created a sentiment using the new Pumpkin Patch stamp set and die.

For my last tag, I colored some of the leaves die cuts with Fresh Dye Inks to match the colors of the cardstock. This time, I decided to add a piece of kraft cardstock to the bottom of the white tag, then covered the seam with a piece of glitter cardstock. I created the pumpkin die cut and set it on the center of the tag above the glitter paper. The colored leaves helped to frame the pumpkin in the tag. For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Pumpkin Patch stamp set and die and adhered the strip to the tag.

I love how these turned out, and I hope they inspire your next crafty project to share gratitude, whether that be a tag, a card, or a gratitude album! Remember to check out Altenew’s latest release, and take time to enjoy and be grateful for the little things!
