Welcome to our next challenge – The Colour Suite challenge! For a couple of years former design team member Summer Fullerton created beautiful "Colour Suites" for us. You can see all the beautiful Colour Suites she designed on our website here. These are timeless so we asked a few of our designers to choose their favourite Colour Suite and create a card based on that. Here are their cards…
Lisa Dickinson's Colour Suite inspiration:
And her card…
“I love to whip up a card with the scraps left on my desk after a layout! Just take scraps of paper and punch circles from them. Ink the edges of each circle with a slightly darker ink. Layer over the front of a card and top with a sentiment die cut." ~ Lisa
Laura Vegas' Colour Suite inspiration:

"I used the February 2013 Colour Suite in creating these two cards. It always makes sense to me to create at least two cards at once, since I have all of the supplies out and can work assembly style. I started by picking out two large flower stickers in different colors, and then picked out my patterned papers in the coordinating colors from the Colour Suite. By distressing the edges of my patterned paper blocks and flower stickers, and machine stitching around the edges before adhering to the card base, it added a lot of texture, with little effort." ~ Laura

"I chose the February 2014 Colour Suite! Adding rows of hand stitching gives this card a bold pop of color and texture. The arrow points the receiver in the right direction and underlines the sentiment!" ~ Nancy

I’ve been watching the videos on those super cool Chameleon pens!!!! Love love love! I look forward to doing this challenge. I always enjoyed Summer’s colour suites and referred to them quite often to get inspired. I’ve also taken a class with Summer and Kimber at one of the Crop & Creates – one of my most memorable and fun days ever! Thank you for the “suite” giveaway!

I love Colour Suites! I think I’ll use the same one as Lisa Dickinson otherwise I might spend the rest of the day trying to decide which one! The prizes are fantastic. So much fun with color! Love that stack of overlapped circles. Usually when I am done a project I have the scraps all from a particular paper pack or color family, so I really need to give this technique a try!

Thank you SO much to Doodlebug. I saw this come out and have been totally craving it! The chameleon pens look AMAZING and perfect for a coloring-inept person like me! I totally want to give these a shot!!! I am embarrassed to say that I have never used Taylored Expressions but I have heard great things and that penguin!?! Adorable. And of course, Stampin’ up.
