"Hello SCT readers!  As a thank you for joining us today I have created this card using mostly embellishments and a little watercolor paint.  I don’t know about you but I sometimes go crazy with the patterned paper when it comes to card making and I’m learning that it is not always necessary.  Step back for a minute and take a look at your embellishments.  Look at the story they can tell.  I started with the house and then circle punched a sky.  I added some rub-ons and gold star stickers for interest.  Because I used white for the base, I could control the color added with red watercolor paint. When it comes to card making, there are no rules! Thank you for stopping by!" ~ Marla Kress

TIP: Make your card sentiment stand out from busy patterned papers by using dimensional adhesive. Even the thin foam squares like I’ve used here give a slight shadow to your letters! ~ Lisa Dickinson

"I couldn’t let this fun day of card-making pass without saying “Thank You”!  And, since it’s a glorious autumn day here in Southern Nevada and the fall colors are out each window and all around, I chose to use the darling Autumn collection from Carta Bella Paper Co.  It’s one that you’ll love forever and ever and use every scrap of until it’s gone :).  Thanks so much for joining in today!" ~ Melissa Phillips

8:00 pm special guest – Your Next Stamp

Thank you

"My thank you card is a quick and easy A2 card design featuring the adorable Perk Up stamp and die set. I watercolored the latte machine using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used the YNS Stitched Rectangle die for the background and popped it up using some foam dots to give the card some dimension. I love using black on my cards along with pops of color and the YNS stripe-tastic circle die is perfect for holding little colorful extras like hearts and flowers. I finished my card off with some Sparkly YNS Gumdrops! Your Next Stamp would also love to offer a prize package to celebrate this day!" ~ Karen Dedman, owner of Your Next Stamp
