Hi, hola, ciao, sup, konnichiwa, bonjour, goedendag, howdy . . . no matter how you choose to say it, “hello” is a special word. A greeting. An acknowledgement. A happy exchange taking place.
Hello is also a trend. Yes, a word is actually a design trend. You’ll see this sweet sentiment popping up to say “hey” all over the place right now.
I must begin with a special home decor piece. My incredibly talented friend, Holly Jones, makes these brilliant wood pieces by hand in her home and they are something else. I have one in my daughter’s nursery, and I adore it. And, to add to the hello huzzah, her shop is called Say Hello. Seems like a perfect place to start to me!
This beauty from SS Printshop covers many of the amazing trends we’ve talked about lately, including a beautiful script font, glorious gold, hearts, and now, hello! How ‘bout them apples?
Love me some Lionel!
Wake up on the right side of the bed with these beauties.
Hello, hot stuff!
Say hello without uttering a word wearing this charm around your neck.
Or go a bit further south to make your statement with this little number.
Forever21 makes it easy to wear your hello on your sleeve with this sweet bracelet.
Hello, happy crafty!
Hi, my name is…what? My name is…who? My name is… Well, you know the rest. If not, perhaps you need a “Hello, my name is” clear stamp like these cuties from Avery Elle.
Avery Elle keeps the hellos happening with this Simply Said: Hello Elle-ments die.
Clearly, these stickers by Cosmo Cricket are winners in the friendly-and-fun department, with “hello” being just one of the lovely statements made.
Inspiration Ave. is at it again, with this love-note loaded set of stamps.
These cute cut-out cards by Jillibean Soup may be called Mini Placemats, but they’re mighty on design. And the hello card is a favorite of mine.
Hellos don’t get much happier than this. It’s the darling Hello Sunshine collection from the sweetest-ever Lawn Fawn crew.
But the Fawns didn’t stop at paper. Check out these amazing dies.
Nothing like a little paper smooch with your greeting!
Ring… Ring… Papertrey Ink just called to say . . . hello! Answer that call using their Heart-2-Heart set.
Hellos can come in many forms, one of my favorite being the text message. So you can imagine my delight when I saw the hello Fresh Press Card from Pinkfresh Studio. I’ll take a cute text like this any day.
Simon Says Stamp!
Say “hello.” Uh uh uh, Simon didn’t say. Oh, yes they did. In a big way thanks to the Hello You set.
It’s simple . . . Simple Stories, that is. And their stylish assortment of stamps in the Journaling set.
Hello, My Name Is… No, really, that’s its name. This collection by Teresa Collins not only features our on-trend word, but its name incorporates it as well.
Hello, my your name is…
We’re a month into Monday with Megan. I hope you’ve had fun thus far. I know I have. But I feel I have much to learn about you. If you feel so inclined, I’d love it if you’d answer the following questions so I can learn a bit more about you and continue to improve my Mondays for you.
- Do you consider yourself a card maker, a scrapbooker, or both?
- Are you on Pinterest? Mind leaving a link to your Pinterest board?
- What is your favorite crafting supply?
- What is your favorite crafting company?
- If you could sit down and craft with anybody, who would it be?
That’s what you get when you combine Pinterest and hello—pinello. Play along and see some stellar hello projects on my “Hello there!” Pinterest board.
While you’re out making the “hello” rounds, better make a stop at the blog of remarkably talented Jennifer McGuire. She has an inspiring tutorial for creating this colorful card.
And, I’ll leave you with a hello harmony. In preparing this post, I saw this video for the first time, and I have to admit, I find a tad creepy. I mean, stalking AND crank calling? Sheesh! But, creepiness aside, it’s a hello classic—Mr. Lionel RIchie. Is it he, YOU’RE looking for?
