the 3 i’s
The first year in the exciting life of a newborn is so full of
change and growth. Parents snap hundreds (if not thousands) of
photos in those first twelve months, capturing every event,
adventure, milestone and celebration. Page ideas are endless
because babies offer scrapbookers so many themes, subjects and
topics to record.
We could fill an entire issue with baby pages alone! Instead,
we’ve chosen four subjects that will give you some easy-to-
create page ideas and help you put a dent in that enormous
folder of photos. Set the baby powder aside, bust out the pink
and blue paper, and let’s scrap those bundles of joy!
We love the fresh, bright colours that Lynn chose
for her page, rather than traditional baby hues. The
radiant colours made all of her photos harmonize nicely.

Rather than getting caught-up in trying to scrap the
monthly happenings of her adorable niece, Lynn opted to
create a double layout that provided a quick snapshot of
Gia’s first year. Lynn chose a favourite photo from each
month (converting a few to black and white) and matted
them onto kraft die cuts. She hand-wrote the month on
each mat and arranged her photos on the page in a
non-chronological order. What a great way to see the
changes in a baby’s first year!
