challenge:
accessorize
Choosing embellishments for your layout
is like deciding what shoes to wear with a
dress. Many of these page accessories
come from the fashion world—buttons,
baubles, pins, ribbons, trims and stitching,
just to name a few. For all of the bling
lovers out there, we’ve also borrowed
rhinestones, pearls and sequins.
Another fashion accessory is the hat, and
Marla’s three children have quite a
collection of them. Her layout salutes
their favourite head gear, which she
“accessorized” with buttons, cotton twine
and faux hand-stitching.
The next time you are in a fabric store,
head over to the notions section. There
are so many products that can be used in
papercrafting, like snaps, velcro, safety
pins, pinking shears, button covers, ric rac
and so much more.
