challenge: eyelet lace
Like chevrons, polka dots, plaids and pin
stripes, eyelet lace is just one of many
textile patterns that can be found in
scrapbooking. This sweet, airy lace is
more commonly found on die cuts such
as doilies and borders, and is a popular
backdrop for layouts and cards.
Lynn used an eyelet pattern on her
beautiful page, cutting it out of white
cardstock on a Silhouette. Rather than
gluing it down flat, she placed it over
light blue paper and sewed it in place
with a few zig zag stitches. This allowed
the eyelet pattern to float on top of
the page, giving it added depth.
