Happy Friday SCT friends! It's the end of the first week of 2017 and we hope it's been a great start! We're excited to be making all sorts of plans for 2017 with our team and thought we would share a few things you can expect over the next few months!
- Our blog is going to see an increase in activity! Joining forces with Design Team member Nicole Nowosad, we planned out a year that's going to be full of inspiration all week, every week. With new challenges (our first sketch challenge here), more of our team, new guests, giveaways, and fun, we hope you'll continue to stop by each day. You won't want to miss our 11 day birthday celebration taking place from March 18-28 too! We always love celebrating and hope you'll celebrate our 11th birthday with us.
- CardMaps 5 is taking shape! We are thrilled to be working with PageMaps once again to bring you the next installment of this sold out series. Preorders will open in March and it will ship early April! We'll share more information as we can!
- Our Crop & Create event season is warming up! Our Crop & Create Toronto event has sold out, Crop & Create Moncton is getting close, Crop & Create Calgary opens for registration next Friday and Crop & Create Abbotsford, BC will open on January 20th! Later this spring we'll share more information about our events in Cornwall, Thunder Bay and Saskatoon too! We can't wait to see everyone again and meet some new friends along the way. These weekends are epic!
- SCT365, our year long class with an amazing cast of designers, has now begun and we're hearing that our class participants are loving the first month with Lisa Dickinson! Remember this is a self-paced class so you can join in anytime. For more information, click here! (pssst…it's only $25US/$28Cdn for the WHOLE year!)
- The spring SCT Delivered kits have been ordered and we're pretty sure you're going to love what Lisa Dickinson and Jess Forster have planned for you with our kits this spring. The next kit will be available for preorder on March 1st. Sneaks will come the week before.
- Watch our YouTube channel for a new video series with Design Team member Nancy Damiano in February! And speaking of our Design Team, we are going to reveal our 2017 team next Friday! We can't wait to share this amazing creative team with you.
- We are heading to Phoenix, AZ next week for our annual trade show (think kids in candy store!!!!) and hope you'll join us on Facebook and Instagram from January 21-23 as we will be sharing as much as we can from the show floor (cross fingers wifi is easily accessible!) We'll be seeing all the new products coming to stores, meeting up with many designers and making important industry connections. We will also be picking up some fun things along the way and will have one if not two mystery box giveaways in the upcoming weeks!
Does this all sound like a lot of fun? We are so incredibly grateful to all your support that it makes it fun for us to be involved in all of these things. YOU being here inspires us each day so don't hesitate to ever leave us a little note or if you want to send us an email you can always send one to us at ideas@scrapbookandcards.com. We LOVE hearing from you!
Now, that sets us up perfectly to announce today's giveaway from our friends at Photo Play Paper! How awesome is this My Imagination collection for a boy? That lego paper is a must have for anyone who has had a high volume of lego in their house (and stepped on many!) We have the new My Imagination collection pack for one lucky reader who leaves us a note below and let's us know where you discovered us. Was it online, at your local store, Barnes & Nobel, Chapters, Scrapbook.com, your friend? We would love to know! Please leave the comment by Thursday, January 12. We will randomly select a winner and announce it next Friday.
Have a great weekend everyone! Thank again for stopping by!

I really don’t remember, it was a while ago. Maybe the magazine in the store. I’m pretty sure the base exchange used to carry your magazine. This collection is so cute, I have a friend with a toddler sized grandson, this collection would be perfect !!
I found you by searching the internet a longggg time ago. My Imagination Collection is super cool. My Great Nephew and I would have a blast playing with it. He is so into dinosaurs and all sorts of creatures. He knows more about dinosaurs and outer space than I do anymore.
Thanks for sharing with us!! Cool Give-a-way!!!
I’m not sure how i heard about you, I think online. I love the My Imagination collection. The dinosuar and lego paper caught my eye. Great collection. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

I first saw you online. I don’t remember what I was browsing but it was almost 5 years back. I see every issue online and am glad that now I can get your magazine if I order in time from Scrapbook.com. I love getting the magazine that I ignore the other things I ordered with it.
When my daughter was choosing which university to attend for her Master’s degree, we travelled to Waterloo, Ont. and I spent time shopping while she did an interview. I wanted to visit Two Scrapbook Friends where I bought some goodies and received a copy of the magazine. I haven’t looked back since!
Online and in print.Great things as always!.
I first discovered your magazine through crops at ScrapMuch? I soon signed up online for your updates….love that paper line…lots of lego blocks at our house to be scrapped about!!!
I honestly can’t remember how I found you. It may have been on Vicki Boutin’s blog.
Catherine- Thanks for the update on all of the fun coming up in 2017. I can’t wait to see what comes out of CHA later this month. I discovered you from scrapbook.com- I received a free copy with my order and wondered why it had taken a decade to discover you existed!!!
I first discovered your magazine when i received a free one with my purchase at Prairie Chicks in Haque Saskatchewan. Loved their store and your magazine!
I first found your magazine by searching for page sketches when I first started scrapping. Must have been about 10 years ago by now too.
Online, but I’m not sure when. I enjoy your magazine, and all the videos.
My Imagination looks like an amazing collection! I would have to use it to scrap my 26 year old son, from the time he was 2 until the present day, playing with his cherished legos! Yes, he still sits for hours building with his lego collection which he now shares with his 4 year old daughter.
I think I first heard about you when you were on your second or third issue and have been around since then! Can’t remember where I saw the issue but was so happy to find it because I have gotten lots of inspiration from it over the years! I hope you never go fully digital because I love the feel of a magazine in my hands that I can read whether my devices are charged or not. <3

It was so long ago I don’t remember. I’m pretty sure I’ve been an avid follower since your early days. It was likely at the scrapbook shop in the Beach or Oshawa both of which have sadly disappeared. I would love to win this collection. It would be perfect for all the pictures I have of my three year old grandson. Have a great time in Arizona!
I first learned about you online. Love the cute boy’s collection!

At my old scrapbook store, I love the clean not cluttered format. The other magazine is just too busy for me to focus on anything.
Have been loving this paper, but no one in my town sells it!
