Hello SCT friends! I recently had the pleasure of working with the Chasing Dreams collection by Maggie Holmes for an upcoming project and loved everything about it! While I can't reveal that project yet, I created another one to share with you all.
I paired this collection with two sets of butterfly dies from Sizzix and it was a match made in heaven! Here is a close-up of the décor piece,
Oddly enough this piece started with some old gift card boxes that I had collected (yay for recycling)!
You could also do this with shadowbox frames, regular frames, jewelry boxes basically anything will work. I spray painted the boxes, backed them with patterned paper and started layering the interiors.
Here they are grouped together:
And an angled shot so that you can see the dimension inside.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Thank you for checking out the SCT blog today!

Great idea! This would also be awesome for the kiddos to make wall decor for their own rooms! TFS
So cute.
Beautiful!!!
I’m definitely getting ideas for a project with DGD! TFS!
Wow they are gorgeous! What a great way of recycling.
These are so cute and make such a sweet grouping. A cute way to use up some of those boxes we stash (just in case) and some of the pretty scraps of paper we can’t seem to part with. Thanks for the great inspiration! :)
What a great combination of crafts. I am envious. Hope I can make something like that. So pretty.
These are so pretty Marla! That’s great that you were able to recycle those boxes. Love the pink and love those butterflies!
Creative and pretty idea!
Wow! Simple and great décor idea!
